Chapter 9

MADIE'S POV:

I began leading Kian and JC to the road
she always takes to get to school. We wanted to see if we could find any clues of what happened to her.

"Do you guys see anything?" I shouted out

"No nothing over here" Kian and JC screamed

All of a sudden I got a message from an unknown number.

"Who could this be?" I whispered to myself

The text message read:

Hello Maddie it's been a long time hasn't it? Well I just wanted to let you know that we have your little friend Amanda. If you want her back I suggest that you don't tell the cops or else you will find her but you will find her DEAD!! We just wanna hang out so here's our address

You can come and get Amanda back whenever you want but don't bring anyone or we'll kill her.

Once I read the message tears began to stream down my face as I sat on the ground.

KIAN'S POV:

We couldn't find anything that could
Lead us to Amanda but as I turned around I saw Maddie sitting on the floor with her hands covering her eyes. I quickly ran towards her to see what was wrong.

"Maddie what's wrong are you okay?!"

"No I'm not okay! I just got a text message from these 2 boys from middle school and they said they had Amanda!!"

Maddie looked devastated and I didn't know what to do. I wanted to let Maddie know that everything was going to be okay but she looked as if there was nothing anyone can do.

"Maddie listen to me everything is going to be okay I promise."

"I'm just so worried Kian I don't know what to do?!"

Once I heard her say those words I picked her up and carried her in my arms.

MADDIE'S POV:

Kian picked me up and carried me in his arms.

"Wh-what are you doing Kian?!"

"I don't want to see you sad so I'm not going to put you down until your happy."

"Kian put me down its only natural for me to be sad." I demanded

Kian quickly turned to look at me his eyes shined in the morning light. I felt my heart begin to thump.

*thump thump thump*

I quickly jumped off his arms in embarrassment. I could sense kians eyes on mine but I didn't want to look back. My feelings were confusing me and I didn't know what to do.
