The last breath
The largest one you think you can take
The breath preparing you
For what you hope is ahead
The plunge into life
The life you want to pursue vs.
The life that reality sets
And the sinking creeps in
The weight of doubt
The fear of drowning
The burden you carry
Too heavy to compare
The deepest you'll ever be
The heaviest you've ever felt
The water crushing you
And a longing to breathe
The journey toward air
The climb through the depths
The feeling of being lost
As pressure starts to fade
The realization
The people there to help you up
The hope of air
Waiting for you at the top
The breakthrough
The relief of breath
The warmth of sunlight
The release from it all
This is the biggest breath
The cycle begins again
This time you're prepared
The depth doesn't scare you

My Poetry Collection
PoetrySudden bursts of inspiration leave behind poems of many kinds. I don't know what I'm doing, or if any of it is good. But art is meant to be shared, so here it goes.
