A frosty love (A Jack Frost x Reader fanfic)

I never truly understood how Easter and Christmas were the best and most favourited holidays. I mean don't get me wrong, I loved seeing kids smiling and being happy as the next person, but I'd never seen a smile as big as the one's I'd seen than the one's on Halloween (my holiday). I did not really know the Guardian's, but I did know how they didn't seem that great. I loved that they made kids smile but it was hard as I truly didn't know why we needed a centre group of Guardians. It wasn't like their jobs were going anywhere.

Anyway, after stretching from my tree, I swept down to the ground to look over my very small island. I made it myself, think of easter island, but much smaller. Turning around to look up to the sky, I rested my hands on my head, looking up to the man on the moon. He was shining brighter today, which meant only one thing. Someone was going to become a new guardian.

Walking around a bit more, I noticed a cave that I had never seen before on the island. I brought my wings up and around me to protect myself, and my eyes glowed orange to show danger and threat towards my enemy. My hands started creating a matching orange ora to push my enemy away. "Who's there, show yourself" I said, keeping a steady voice. I wasn't too scared, but I was just confused as to who it could be as no one could get on my island. Except, maybe a guardian could...

Suddenly I felt someone push me into a bag, blocking me of my vision of the outside world. I tried to punch the intruder, yet I wasn't successful. Instead I decided to quit struggling and question whoever I could when I got out.

After my stomach had untwisted from travelling through a portal , I fell to the floor of the now open bag. I crawled out, making my wings open behind me. The bright light blinded me, it being full of different coloured lights and noises. I looked around at my surroundings and saw 5 people standing around, looking at me with a mixture of puzzlement and excitement. They consisted of a human/hummingbird, a very muscular man, a giant rabbit, a man made of what looked like sand and a boy with striking white hair, whom looked around my age. "Ok, um. Who are you lot and why the hell am I here?" I asked standing up and brushing off my knees.

"We're the Guardian's, the protector of children's happiness and fun. Please do not be alarmed" the tall man said in a thick Russian accent. "Do not be alarmed? What do you expect me to be? Happy? I just was stuck in a bag for what felt like 2 hours, and trust me, wing cramps are not pleasant." I said, shaking my wings a bit, trying to get the snag out of them. "Trust me, you get used to it. I'm Jack, Jack Frost" the frosty haired boy said, stepping towards me, holding a hand out. I had heard of him before, giving kids snow days which essentially seemed fun to them, until I saw one slip off a small ramp and fall into a pile of compacted snow. It was not a pretty sight. Instead of accepting his cold hand, I picked him up with my own us, being careful not to strangle him. "You try anything funny, and I'll send you flying" I said, bringing him closer to me and narrowing my eyes. "Noted" he exclaimed, spluttering slightly.

"Please put him down, Y/N. We know he's annoying but we unfortunately need him" the rabbit said "I'm bunny, the Easter bunny". I did a sarcastic curtesy to him and put Jack down. The frosty boy chuckled slightly whilst rubbing his neck. "Sorry, how did you know my name?" I asked the group. "We've been watching you for a while, assessing you. You're quite the spirit we need" said the bunny.

The human/hummingbird came to greet me next. "Hello Y/N, it's very good to meet you. I'm very happy with the way you've been taking care of your teeth, especially with your holiday being Halloween."
"Toothiana, we've talked about this countless times: no checking teeth on our new guests." The muscular man said. "I'm North, or Santa. I'm very happy to have you here with us" He smiled towards me "Oh, and this is sandy, the bearer of good dreams." The golden man waved towards me, and I waved back.

"Ok well, now I know all your names and how excited you are to meet me" I started, picking up one of the elves who wriggled but I held tightly "would one of you kindly explain why I'm here?"

"Because we need you" Jack said, appearing at the top of my vision, upside down.
