Yet again, I left my house and waited for Amy, this time though I was met with both her and Leo.

"Oh hey, how come you're coming with us, do you not have school?" I asked him

"Nah, yesterday was my last day." he paused, "After the summer holiday, I'm going to Uni in Cali."
"Bloody hell that's far away." I responded

"Yeah" he stated simply.

I turned back around and ran up to Amy and we continued to school. Other than that, Friday went pretty normally however, when it came to the end of the day, I left school alone -Amy had gotten a detention- and was met with Leo in his low riding red mercedes.

"Hi, I came to pick you and Amy up. Where is she?" he asked

"She got detention." I responded standing awkwardly next to his car window.

"Well, get in then i'll just take you home." he suggested

Although we've been neighbours for three years, Leo and I hadn't even got half as close as Amy and I.

"No, I'm alright, I won't waste your time." i finally stated

"Just get in, we're wasting more time talking."

"Fine, you convinced me."

I hopped into the car in the backseat but was moved by Leo.

"Mate, I'm not a taxi driver, get into the front."

I slid across the seats and slumped into shotgun. Leo turned the key and the engine rumbled away pulling the car with it.

"So, how was school?" he asked

"It was alright." i responded

"C'mon, give me more than that." the boy scoffed

"Ok, umm, first and second period were history, we had an assessment in Maths, I'm pretty sure I failed, it was really hard." I paused then followed up with, "Like genuinely what's the point in algebra we're never gonna need it." I finished

There was a silence before I continued

"Sorry, I don't know why I started ranting."

"No, no, please do continue." he smiled at me warmly

"What should I say?" i questioned

"Hmm, Now, why don't we need Algebra." he sniggered, steering the car down another road.

The rest of the trip procceeded in anything but silence whether we were talking about school, friends, crush's, listening to the music or laughing.

After around thirty minutes, we arrived at our houses, the sky had become grey and rain was starting to fall. We both ran out of the car, and leapt underneath my awning, laughing like complete idiots.

"Thanks alot for the drive but you should probably get back to your's before you get too wet.

"Yeah, you're right." he responded simply without moving.

We stood staring at eachother blankly, I couldn't help smiling, I didn't know why, but it just felt so good. I couldn't think, see, hear anything but him. What is going on? Why is it happening?

I looked him directly in the eye, they shone bright and dreamily back into mine.

Smiling up at him I quietly said, "Bye, see you soon." Before hurridly running into my house and collapsing behind the door as it shut.

"Bye." I heard Leo whisper

My heart felt warm and my stomach churned, I could feel my cheeks and ears warm up and go red. The feeling was cut short though by my mum.

"Whose got you grinning like that?" she asked smiling

"No one." I responded quickly, maybe a little too quickly. I pulled myself to my feet and marched upstairs into my bedroom.
