Most people would've never assumed that you and Bella would've been best friends. You remember some bitchy girls in middle school saying you got lucky in kindergarten, but Bella always said that you were her real soulmate. Not some guy.

And you thought the same. You guys didn't even need to put in a rule about arguments in your list because you just never did. Sometimes you wondered if you were Bella's twin instead of Eren.

So naturally it came to you, guilt ridden as you sat in Bella's room, watching some movie on her screen, your mind cloudy with thoughts. You knew Bella would tell no one about Jean, but would she approve? She more than anyone wanted your friendship to stick together until you were all old crones, and a potential relationship would definitely change the dynamic up a bit.

You clutched the moon pendant in your hand that Bella had gifted you on your 16th birthday, engraved with your initials intertwining hers, and hers a matching sun.

"Cause remember? After that anime you watched and you were obsessing over the sun and moon trope and kept sending me edits saying 'that's us!' and how you were the moon and I was your sun?"

Of course you remembered. You were such a hopeless romantic that your friendship with Bella served as enough romance for you. Bella was your sun, and there would be no shining of the moon without her. You had always loved her, but sometimes she said things that made you fall in love with her.

You hated that everyone had this perception of her that she was some stone cold bitch who was mean all the time. Okay. Perhaps she was, but only to certain people. Never to you. You were always so naturally melancholy and reserved but she adored that about you. She was the one who cradled you whilst you cried, and you felt at peace around her. Like you didn't have to pretend.

"I admire you. So much Y/N. You've been through so much and every time I look at you I get so happy that you're my best friend."

And that's why you stuck to the rules. You had such a good person as your best friend you didn't dare mess it up, but here you were, a secret hidden from her.

She wouldn't be too mad if you didn't tell her right? It took you weeks to tell her some other stuff, and all she did was put her arms around you as you sobbed. But this was different. This was about you borderline dating one of your best friends, her brother's closest friend (and he didn't have many).

"Hey Belle?" You say as she lifts her head up from her pillow, looking over at you before she turned over, slinging a leg over your body.

"Yeah?"

"I need to tell you something." You say quietly as her brows furrow, looking concerned.

"You're not bad again are you?"

"No! No...I'm not. It's about a..." You mumbled the last part hoping she wouldn't hear, but she perked up, propping herself up on her pillow.

"A..."

"Boy."

"Y/N!" She squealed in excitement before playfully smacking you with a teddy, making you shy away as she took your hands, shaking you.

"Hellllooooo? Who is it? Oh my god! Is it some total nerd in your math class? Or is it your o-chem class? Oh my god!!! Tell me!"

You sighed, not surprised at her gushing. It wasn't every day you wanted to talk about a boy.

"Oh Bella." You groaned, burying your face into a pillow as you screamed, Bella pushing you, still laughing.

"What? If he's ugly I swear I won't say anything. Well. I don't know. But tell me!"
