Life goes on
Or so everyone said
But I am still waiting for life to continue
Everyday I live in the same nightmare
Life is like a race
With life running
And me trying to catch up
With every breath I take
My body gets heavier
Sore heels and ankles
But the real pain is knowing
I might not catch up
Will everyone leave me behind?
But when I open my eyes
I see smile and a helping hand
With relief
I reach for the hand
But when I grasp it
The hand let's go
Watching me fall
But instead of receiving help
I received laughter and selfish smirks
