As the Fallen Maiden fled, the Slayer turned his attention to the silver eyed girl. The power she had emitted had clearly knocked the wind out of her, it was understandable. Having never properly wielded such power before, it's no wonder that she couldn't take the full force of it just yet.It has been a long time since the Slayer has seen a silver-eyed warrior. During the Dark Times, there would be hundreds, possibly thousands of them. Looked upon like divine figures, in service to the Slayer himself. In spite of this arrangement, he had always seen them as equals in his war against the Grimm. After that fateful deal... they all must have been whittled down throughout the ages, in the unending campaign against evil. Primary targets of the damned Grimm Witch herself. Salem. The Slayer doubted that the entirety of the Silver Order could've been totally eradicated, the silver eyed girl was proof of that. However the fact that he had not seen many of them in the time he had been awake was already a concerning predicament. The power of the Silver Eyes had always been a close clan kept secret, so much so that even the mighty Slayer wasn't privy to their traditions.
Nevertheless, he knew that he needed the power of the gods at his side. As powerful as he was, without the power of the silver eyes Salem could indeed be killed... but never truly defeated.
As a loyal, devout acolyte of the God of Darkness, Salem wanted nothing more than his return. Long prophesied to begin an eternal Unholy Crusade, not just restricted to Remnant. But throughout whatever other undiscovered worlds managed to fall under his gaze. If it meant she got a sizeable slice of his impending empire, Salem would take that chance. Without any care in the world for those unfortunate enough to be trampled under the God of Darkness' foot.
The people who have submitted themselves to this cult care only care about their personal agenda, which is why Salem and whomever assists in advancing her plans deserves to perish.
But the first thing he needed to do was get this silver-eyed girl to safety. While he would likely go about his journey alone, the world could use another silver-eyed warrior around to protect the people of Remnant. She was still young, she didn't need The elevator was probably damaged, he would have to grapple down using his Super Shotgun's meathook. He could already feel tremors as Beacon Tower's infrastructure beginning to strain. It wouldn't be very long before it gave in.
- Meanwhile -
A battered Cinder limped her way onto a secluded bullhead in the middle of the forest. Still clutching onto her gouged eye, she could now only see red. Both figuratively and literally, the immense humiliation she had suffered at the hands of this mysterious armoured figure simply enraged her even more. In total disregard for the danger posed by this new opponent.
She struggled to open the door into the ship, grunting as she did. Awaiting her were a stunned Emerald and Mercury. Having been standing by for any need of their master. Her two henchmen stood aghast at Cinders ragged, beaten state. Having never seen anything like it before, it was like seeing
Emerald: "Cinder!? Wha-What happened to you!?"
Mercury: "And here I thought Tukson looked bad after we were done with him."
Mercury chuckled as Emerald sharply elbowed him, shaking her head sternly.
Cinder: "Shut up, both of you... Where the hell are Torchwick and Taurus!?"
Emerald: "Back in Vale, probably... Seriously, who did this to you? How could they have done this to you?"
Cinder was busy wrapping a bandage around her head, covering her bad eye. Her devastated hand was twitching, crackling with the power of the Fall Maiden as she furiously gritted her teeth.
