1. Encounter

Eternal loneliness.

Minjeong felt that everyday, but she couldn't care less. She's happy even tho her only friend was Ningning and that's definitely more than fine. The enjoyed the freedom she have right now to her, fullest. All the empty lonely times she could spent for herself was pretty much a gift to her.

As always, she'll open the cafe first because she'll always arrive to work first. As a part-timer, working at the cafe was pretty easy, because she wasn't the one in charge for making the drinks. The drinks always made by Taeyeon, while Minjeong job was to serve them, or sometimes being a cashier.

Thanks Ningning for recommending the place to Minjeong. Now she's staying with the company and this was her third year with 'em. The cafe gained Minjeong loyalty, because why not? They pay well, also the workers and her boss are all amazing person.

"Minjeong. Table 10, ice americano", Taeyeon said to Minjeong who's now at the counter, waiting for the drinks to be ready. In no time, Minjeong nodded her head as her hands swiftly took the tray with the drinks Taeyeon made and make her way to the table mentioned.

Table number 10.

She can saw her friend, Ningning was there waving her hands towards the waiter while the girl beside Ningning wass too familiar to ignore. It's Aeri, Ningning's childhood friend. But then, there's another girl right infront of them, and Minjeong couldn't figure it out because she could only see the girl's back. But that view was enough to tell that the girl was something else.

Wavy black long hair, slim figure and tall? It's not like Minjeong eye was busy looking at the figure, it's only that she was curious because she doesn't think she knew that Ningning knew someone like that.

"You order was here~", Minjeong putting the tray on their 3 person table and putting one by one drinks on the table. But her eyes were slightly shifted towards the unknown girl and she was shocked when she finally learn about the unknown girl's identity.

For a second, Minjeong looking at Ningning with her eyebrows up in confusion. Why, and how was this girl infront of her come here. What she trying to say--- How in the world Ningning know her?

"Hi, Jeongie~", Ningning greet her friend, with a playful smirk on her face. Why not? Ningning know all of Minjeong secret, including the fact that Minjeong had a long time crush towards the unknown girl since high school.

"Hi Ning...", Minjeong still looking at her bestfriend in confusion. Just--- How?

"Hi Minjeong. By the way, this is my best friend, Jimin. Aren't you guys from the same high school? Also college?", Aeri spoke up while shifting her hand to the girl infront of them.

Yu Jimin.

No lies to tell. Yu Jimin was the one and only person Minjeong ever fell in love to. It's started in high school where the two accidentally bumped into each other, but never know each other. You can tell, it was love at first sight. Since then, Minjeong never forget about the girl named Yu Jimin.

When Minjeong entered college, she never knew that Jimin was also there in the same college. She never plan nor stalk the older girl whereabouts. It was all coincidence, and it was a good one. But Minjeong also know that Jimin never know her existence, and the proof is when sometimes they walk by each other at school, or at campus, their eyes never met. Truthfully, Jimin eyes never met Minjeong's.

Ningning know it all along, that Minjeong having this one sided love to Jimin. So now, the chinese girl keep teasing her with her smirk.

"Oh really? We were in the same high school? Also college?", Jimin asked as she lifted her face in excitement, all of sudden looking at Minjeong happily and Minjeong couldn't help but to gulp her nervousness in.

"Y-Yeah... we did...", Minjeong answered timidly.

"I never saw you at school and college? Did you saw me before?", Jimin keep asking excitedly and Minjeong was too nervous to give an answer. She tried to ask for Ningning help, but when she moved her eyes to her friend, the red hair girl keep sipping her coffee and didn't even looking at her. Ningning was busy talking to Aeri, leaving Jimin keep her eye focus to one and only Minjeong.

"I-I... I think I saw you... maybe once? Or twice?", Minjeong answered and it was a total lie. How come you can only look at your crush once or twice?

"Oh really? Hmm... what's your name again?"

"It's Kim Minjeong, sunbaenim. Sorry, I think I need to go", Minjeong replied, slightly bending her body towards the older girl before start to walk away. But then, Jimin held one of her arm and that succeed making Minjeong startled to death.

"Just drop the formalities. Guess I'll see you somewhere soon, Minjeong. Nice to meet you~", Jimin smiled before finally letting go Minjeong arm.

Truthfully speaking, Minjeong heart fluttered. It's not like she never met the girl that close. But maybe because this was the first time they even had a conversation together. It felt incredibly nice, and Minjeong couldn't help but to flash a little smile to Jimin before finally leaving their table.

Headed back towards the counter, only yo get interviewed by Taeyeon with her sly smirk. Minjeong lift her eyebrows up with Taeyeon expression towards her.

"Who's that you talking to, huh? You're smiling like a fool just now", Taeyeon ask.

"It's--- a friend! From school! You don't need to know...", Minjeong answered before back facing Taeyeon, too embarrassed to face her older workmate.

"Gee, Kim Minjeong. You're really bad at lying", Taeyeon scoffed before continuing her work.
