Breathing Space

Let there be light

I continued throughout the day to make my rounds and  was on my way to my last stop of the day when I noticed a presence behind me the person was treading lightly so that I wouldn't hear them and I rolled her eyes not missing a beat

"listen kid if you're trying to sneak up on me you're not doing that great of a job " I whipped around and the guy nearly ran me over it was the same  guy who's father she had atomized this morning

he stumbled to a halt in front of me he was staring at the ground in front of my feet i crossed my arms over my chest and tapped a foot impatiently raising an eyebrow " Can i help you with something ?" i asked getting irritated

He looked up at me meeting my eyes mm brave kid not many people can do that without passing out in fear however bravery also comes with stupidity in my opinion

"well? " i said, again wondering why he was following me in the first place and not running away like everyone else does

"I'm sorry im just curious i guess. . . I'm Zeke " he said , and he stuck out his hand and i raised an eyebrow at him looking at his hand cautiously . when he realized i wasn't going to shake his hand he just awkwardly pulled it back and ran it through his hair

i let out a frustrated sigh " well listen Zeke i'm kind of in the middle of some stuff so why don't you just leave your curiosity alone and run home and comfort your mother or something"

he laughed nervously " yeah well i kind of don't have anyone i can run home to now my mother died years ago and well you know what happened to my father" i felt a prickle of guilt at hearing that and i  knew my eyes flashed a light blue color as i felt my galaxies shift  with my bout of brief emotion before I quickly steeled myself again turning my eyes back to their original dark bluish purple colored Galaxy

"Whoa that's really cool how did you do that?! " Zeke asked coming closer to me and ignoring my order to go home once again

Surprised by the sudden movement I stepped back and almost fell over. Zeke watched once again fascinated  as my eyes changed to an orangish colored Galaxy  and once again they quickly shifted back to my purple blue galaxy and scowled at him

 " How i can do that is none of your business" i snapped at him "now just move out of my way ." i said brushing past him my boots clicking down the path as saunter haughtily away from him at a quicker pace because i really just wanted left alone i mean seriously i killed this dude's dad this morning and he says he's " curious" about me ?! and people think im insane who in their right mind is kind and curious to the person who killed their only living relative ?

shaking my head i continued on my way headed back to my HQ to deposit my run for the day taking the long way weaving around the buildings because i still feel like i could sense his gaze searing into me as i kept going . .but you know i was just probably going crazy .. being a human turned divine being can do that to a person after all  giving the land one last glance over i walked up to the stone face below the cliff's edge and  punched in the code for HQ into the pad and descended into the stone the door way sliding shut behind me letting in one final breeze from the outside and i breathed in a sigh of relief before i began walking i shouted " Let there be light " i know cheesy really put come on when our a part of creation you have to have a little creation humor

so the same  shimmering energy formed in my hand and i flicked my wrist sending it out  into my mason jar like light fixtures the halls lighting up before me as i walked down farther towards the center of the planet see what these people don't realize is that the center of their oh so beloved purple planet is connected directly to time and space their planet sits in a ripple if you will no one here really ages and time seems to take a thousand forever's going tortuously slow i opened the door to the universe room and instantly felt the pull drawing me in . . after all i am a part of it and it doesn't like being separated from me very long, horrible really kinda reminds me of a clingy boyfriend . . . i heard the door close with a soft click  behind me and with a rare smile that only every once in a while lights up my face i stepped out into time.

Zeke followed her. he couldn't help it there was just something so magnetic about her he had to know what made her tick  she has these eyes that just . and this hair. wow  see now he was even quoting Aladdin in his mind just fantastic.

snapping out of his thoughts Zeke looked up in time to see her round another building quickly her eyes darting rapidly about oh yeah she knew he was following her he quickly moved out of her line of vision and once she had turned back around and kept going he followed as well she ended up walking to the edge of one of the most dangerous cliffs known to the area and then she just  slowly disappeared confused he walked a bit closer and realized looking over the edge of the cliff  there was actually a natural staircase leading to a ledge at the base of the cliff she punched in the button combination and a scanner popped out of the wall scanning her face and flashed green in recognition,the sound of cracking filtered up to him and a panel of rock slid open 

She walked in and not missing his chance he quickly descended the stairs slipping in behind her just as the panel slid shut with a soft whoosh of air he immediately stopped he couldn't see anything  there were no lights how does Bellatrix see ? Suddenly  in front of him Bellatrix glowed and shimmering light moved from her  siphoning down her arm and into her hand forming a ball of glowing space dust with a flick of her hand and it dispersed with a flash of light the dust radiating out from her lighting jars that hung along the walls, as she walked he let her move away from him and he went over to one of the jars wondering what the light source was and to his amazement as he crept closer he realized that they were also radiating warmly . . they were little stars captured in jars baby balls of hot plasma actual stars!

As he was gawking in wonder at the light system he realized the sound of her foot falls were growing fainter and he turned and started to follow her again being careful not to alert her to his presence she turned to the left and placed her hand on a scanner and another door popped open and walking through he again just barely made it in before the door shut behind him and Bellatrix was gone . . . 

confused he walked towards the center of the room as if being pulled in he reached out into the middle and the air around him rippled . .. curious he stuck his hand in the ripple the other side of the ripple was a bit cold but his hand was still intact he pulled it out and before he could talk himself out if it he walked into the ripple he instantly started to float out of control

All around him he was surrounded by space he seemed to be in the middle of a cosmic storm he could feel the essence of space invading him instead of being cold he kept getting warmer to the point where his heart felt like it was burning he could see everything the smallest atoms how everything formed and was made he could also see darkness an absolute darkness the radiance at which he was shining was repelled away from the darkness only two specks of light could be seen and that was when he realized he was staring at Bellatrix 

 the darkness formed her where her heart should have been was a black hole that radiated the darkness through her, her entire being was made up of darkness it was then that her eyes came back into focus  she looked at him her eyes becoming stormy the space around them got colder but Zeke didn't feel it the heat of his body engulfed him and he passed out
