Ok so I was born in America and the shit here scares me like for example when I first came out as bisexual I got asked in FUCKING 7TH GRADE if I wanted to have a 3some with a kid and his gf??? And then u have all the shit that happened in 2020 when we saw are rights being debated and shit and now I need advice about something. But Here is the real tea.

I'm bi and Genderfluid and my chosen name that I feel most comfortable with is Sage, one of my friends is extremely homophobic and transphobic and proceeded to misgendered and call my friend by his birth name And he refuses to call me by my chosen name and it honestly hurts (if you have a chosen name you may know what I mean) Most of my friends on one side agree that he's an asshole but some of them are telling me to be ok with it because he comes from a conservative household. And this isn't the first time he has made these comments and honestly it's starting to piss me off I understand that I should respect his opinion but he won't even respect mine? So what do I do? Do I tell him that it's not ok to be rude and homophobic/transphobic or do I just leave it alone?

Please help me in the comments or DMs
