PATIENCE | Jungkook x Reader

CHAPTER 1

Jungkooks POV:

Days seem to be as long as years now. The other members and I both have been working so hard for our fans. I think even the staff can see that we are burnt out.

"Jungkook? Hello Earth to Jungkook..."

I look up and see Taehyung. Taehyung is one of my best friends. I consider all of the members to be my best friends, but me and Tae have always been really close. I'm really glad to have him as a friend.

"So are we going to eat or not?" says Taehyung.

"Yeah sorry I was just thinking" I reply.

"Come on I'm so hungry!!! Jimin and Hobi are waiting on us outside."

"Okay okay let's go then." We leave the building and meet up with Hobi and Jimin. As we are walking to the restaurant I remember my phone is at the studio.

"Oh crap I left my phone in the studio." I say stopping all of us.

"No way we are going back. I am so hungry!!" Taehyung exclaims.

"Fine, let's just keep going to the restaurant. I don't think I'll need my phone."

*Jungkook and the others arrive a little later*

We get inside and we look around for someone to get us a seat. My eye catches someone sitting down in the middle of the restaurant. Wearing a white silk dress with perfect hair to accompany it, a girl and her friend sit. I cant help but stare.

"Hello, may I help you 4?" A worker says.

"Uh yes, can you find us a seat preferably near the middle" I say without hesitation. I realize what I had just said and blush at my bold statement. I can feel the other members curiosity on why I was so specific.

"You are in luck! There is a table available right in the middle." I quickly turn to see where the table is located and my eyes widen when I realize that the table was right next to the mystery woman's.

"I DIDN'T ACTUALLY THINK WE WERE GOING TO BE ABLE TO SIT THERE!!!" I think in my head.

I can tell that I probably looked crazy and flustered and just all over the place so I tried to take a deep breath to calm myself down.

We walk to the table and I can overhear the woman laughing. I smile to myself hearing her.

"Jungkook what are you smiling about?" Jimin asks.

"Nothing I'm just happy we can eat soon." I say knowing I had just lied.

"Okay..." Jimin says. Jimin goes back to talking to Hobi about the prank they pulled on Yoongi while he was sleeping.

I try to stay in the conversation as best as I could, but the mystery woman kept stealing my attention.

Jimins POV:

I laugh as I hear what me and Hobi
did to Yoongi, but I can't help but wonder what's going on with Jungkook.

I look over at him multiple times and realize he's staring at someone. I carefully follow the direction his eyes are looking towards.

I almost gasp when I find out he is looking at the woman next to us. I quickly look at Jungkook again to make sure he didn't hear me.

I smile now knowing Jungkooks actions. As he is staring at the stranger, I secretly tell the others what is happening.

Jungkooks POV:

I suddenly feel people looking at me. I turn to see Hobi, Jimin, and Tae smirking at me.

"What?" I ask. They all look at each other smiling and giggling like creeps.

"Who is she?" Hobi blurts out loud. I feel my ears warming up knowing they found that I was staring at the woman.

"She's no one" I say as calmly as I can.

"If she's no one then you won't mind if I ask her for her number right?" Tae says. I look at him as if he had just done something horrible.

"I knew it! You do like her!" Jimin says. I look to the floor in attempt to hide the blush on my face.

"Maybe, but I don't even know her. Plus it's not like I will ever talk to her" I say sadly.

"WHY NOT?!" They say in unison.

"Because it would be awkward and I don't want to get her mixed up in a dating scandal with me" I say.

"Awww that's too sweet" Hobi says as if he was a proud mother.

*A little later*

In the middle of the conversation I see the woman and her friend leave the restaurant. I can't help but sulk wondering what would happen if I chased after her right now.

*Jungkook and the boys leave the restaurant when they are done with their food and go back to the studio*

I get back to the studio and check my phone. I open my phone to see a million notifications from Twitter that have pictures from when we were at the restaurant.

I look through all the photos out of boredom and see her in the background. She is smiling perfectly and her hair is placed just in the right position.

I screenshot and crop the photo so it's just her in it. I can feel a smile growing on my face and my cheeks getting hot.

I wonder to myself if I will ever see her again. As I was in deep thought I hear a knock at the door.

"Who is it" I yell loud enough for them to hear. I don't hear a response so I go to open the door. As soon as I open the door I see her.

"Sorry I must have gotten lost. I'm new here in this building. I'm Y/N, I'm apart of the staff"
