Amanda and the Runaways [1]

Chapter 1

It was a beautiful August day in Los Angeles California for Amanda as she remembers giving her father, Peter Quill, and the Guardians one last hug goodbye before they left to protect the Galaxy. For the first time in her entire life, her dream of going to Atlas Academy came true.
While Amanda was on the bus she scrolled through her phone and listened to one of her father's favorite songs 'Come and Get Your Love'.
Later, Amanda finally arrived at her new school and was given a tour of her dorm room on campus and it was beautiful.
It had pink walls, cute stuffed animals as decorations along with a bed that's her size, a TV, and her two dressers and a closet with her own clothes.The lady then gave Amanda her dorm key."Here you go.Remember, don't give anyone your key, or lose it."

"Thank you ma'am."said Amanda as she sat down on her bed going through a box of her personal belongings until she found an old picture of her and her father when she was 6 years old.
She smiled then saw a special knife her stepmom Gamora gave her before Thanos sacrificed her life for the Soul Stone on Vormir, then cried a little bit.She missed her family, the Avengers and her best friends Peter Parker, MJ and Ned.Amanda felt alone but she always had souvenirs from her father, the guardians and Gamora.The next day was Amanda's first day of school as she road her bike.As she made it to the entrance Amanda got a lot of stares from people, mostly the jocks.Soon she made it to the front office and met the Principal who questioned her.

"Good morning ma'am." said Amanda kindly.
"Good morning. You must be Amanda Quill." said the principal as she looked down at a few sheets of paper on her desk.

"Yes, I am." said Amanda.

The principal nodded as she looked at the sheet of paper and said.
"So I see you just moved here a few days ago, correct?"

"Yes ma'am." said Amanda as she brushed a strand of her red velvet hair behind her ear.

The principal looked up at Amanda as she said.
"Well Ms.Quill, this is your first time at our academy, correct?"

Amanda noded."Yes ma'am, it is."

The principal smiled and said. "Well, welcome to Atlas Academy, and congratulations on being accepted here. I'm sure you'll fit in well here."

"Thank you." Amanda smiled.

Later it was lunch time in the cafeteria. Amanda was walking to find an empty table. As she was walking a group of lacrosse players stared at her then one of them with dyed blue hair named Brayden walked in front of her.

"Hey. We're doing a lunchtime survey of new students.Can you answer a few questions?" asked Brayden.
"OK."said Amanda.
"Is your muffin buttered?"
The jocks behind Brayden began to snicker and laugh because of the question he asked but Amanda became uncomfortable and confused.
"What?" she asked in a offended tone.
"Would you like us to assign someone to butter your muffin?" asked Brayden.
"Excuse me?" said Amanda who was getting very annoyed.

Suddenly a popular girl named Eiffel stood up from her chair and called out Brayden for sexually harassing Amanda.
"Is he bothering you?"she asked."Brayden, why are you such a prick?"
"I'm just being friendly to her."said Brayden.
"Brayden. You do not come to a party at my house with Brittney and then scam on some poor innocent girl right in front of us three days later.She's not interested.Do you wanna have sex with him?" Eiffel asked
"Ew.No thank you." said Amanda who was disgusted.Brayden's smirk faded into a disappointed frown.

Another jock Brandon who was sitting at one of the tables, saw Brayden get rejected and said.
"Damn Brayden, what a burn.You really got rejected by the new girl." he laughed.

All the girls at Eiffel's table laughed as Brayden was embarrassed and humiliated in front of everyone.He looked at Amanda to see if she was laughing, but instead she was serious and walked passed him.
