Chapter 3

The next day, Amanda woke up, took a shower, brushed her teeth, ate breakfast, got dressed and then rode her pink bike to school. It was a peaceful beautiful morning until it was interrupted by an orange, topless Land Rover that was blasting loud pop music.
Amanda turned and to her surprise it was Lucas, Brayden and Brandon with some of the lacrosse teammates riding in the back.As soon as they saw Amanda they offered her a ride to school.
"Hey, Amanda what's up?" Brayden shouted.
"Oh, nothing."said Amanda."I'm just riding my bike to school, that's all."
"Do you want to ride with us?" Lucas asked as he gave Amanda a wink then smirked at her.Amanda didn't want to hurt Lucas and his friend's feelings so she kindly declined.

"Thank you for the offer, but I'm okay with just riding my bike to school instead." said Amanda. "I'll see you guys in homeroom, bye!"
As Amanda continued riding her bike Lucas looked at his friends who all snickered.
"Sorry dude, we tried." said Brayden.
Later, Amanda finally made it to school. She parked her bike then rushed as fast as she could to homeroom.Luckily she made it on time before the bell rung. As she went to her seat, Amanda saw Alex was on his laptop. Alex then looked up and smiled as he saw Amanda walking to sit in the seat next to him.
"Morning, Amanda." he said kindly.
"Good morning to you too, Alex" Amanda said back.
"By the way I have a surprise for you later during free period."
"Really? What is it?" Alex asked slightly excited.
"I can't tell you yet, you have to be patient."Amanda smiled until she suddenly saw Eiffel and three girls from her dance squad.
"Hi Amanda!" They all said at the same time while smiling.
"Hi you guys."Amanda said back
"Eiffel was wondering if you'd wanted to show us some of your dance moves later during free period." one of them said. Amanda thought for a moment then looked at Alex, smiling.
"Sure. Would you like to come watch us practice, Alex?" Amanda asked.

"Sure, I've got nothing to do during free period anyway."said Alex as he smiled at Amanda.
Later, it was lunch time. As Amanda walked with Alex, she saw his friends were waving at him and decided to sit with them. Somewhere at another lunch table, Lucas, Brayden, and the whole lacrosse team glared at Amanda and were concerned why she was sitting with "losers."
"Hey, Alex. Who is this?" asked Gert.
"Oh, this is the new transfer student, Amanda" Alex explained."Amanda, this is Gert, Molly, Nico, Karolina and Chase."
"Hi, it's nice to meet you guys." Amanda said kindly.
As they all said hello, Amanda sat next to Alex then smiled at him as she held her backpack in front of her.

"Hey, Alex." said Amanda."Are you ready for your surprise?"
"Sure. I'm ready." said Alex you was getting a little excited.Amanda then unzipped her backpack taking out an adorable stuffed white teddy bear with big purple eyes, a cute tiny nose, and a big red heart on it's stomach.
"Surprise!" Amanda exclaimed.
"Awww, Amanda it's so cute."
"Do you like it?" Amanda asked.
"Like it? I love it!"Alex said happily."Thank you so much."
"I'm glad you love it, Alex." said Amanda as she and Alex hugged each other. Nico, Chase, Gert, Molly and Karolina all awed at Alex embracing Amanda. Suddenly the bell for free period rung.
"Come on let's go! I have practice in 6 minutes!" Amanda exclaimed as she pulled Alex's arm.

"Five, six, seven, eight!" Eiffel shouted as her and the dance squad practiced their dance routine. Amanda watched Eiffel's dance moves carefully and memorized all of them by heart. The majority of the dance had backflips and splits. Luckily, Amanda was flexible.
"Okay, that was terrible." said Eiffel, who was being critical about her teammates. After their dance routine was over, it was finally Amanda's turn to show off her moves.
"Come on Amanda, show us what you got." said Eiffel. Amanda nodded her head then turned to Alex.
"Don't be nervous, Amanda." said Alex."We're here to support you."
"It's okay, Alex. I'll be fine."said Amanda as she walked in front of Eiffel and her friends who were all getting excited.
"Okay, are you ready Amanda?" said Eiffel.
"Ready when you are Eiffel."said Amanda.

As the song started playing, Amanda danced the same way as Eiffel and the girls did, but with some unexpected flips, twist flips, splits, and one move where she held one of her legs in air, causing Eiffel's jaw to drop. As she continued dancing, Amanda managed to get everyone's attention in the court yard as many of them gathered around in a giant circle and had their phones out recording her. Alex and his friends couldn't believe Amanda was such an amazing dancer, they decided to cheer her on.
"Go Amanda!" yelled Molly. Amanda turned to Molly's direction then smiled as she ended her dance with a high kick then a split. After the song was over everyone applauded and cheered so loudly even the teachers looked outside their classroom windows to see what was going on.
Eiffel and her friends immediately cheered and applauded for Amanda who felt so happy that everyone loved her dance. Eiffel and her friends went to recruit Amanda on the dance squad.
"Amanda, that...was awesome!" said one of the girls excitedly.
"Those flips you did were mind blowing." said another girl. Suddenly as Amanda was getting all the attention, Eiffel smiled to herself because of how impressed she was at Amanda, because no girl on the dance squad has ever danced like a professional before. She then made her way to Amanda.
"Welcome to the team, Amanda." she smiled.
"Thank you so much, Eiffel. It is such an honor." said Amanda happily as she and Eiffel hugged each other.
Eiffel then gave Amanda her very own white sleeveless Atlas Academy hoodie."Oh, here. This is for you."

Amanda took the hoodie and put it close to her chest, smiling at Eiffel."I love it. Thanks." All of Eiffel's friends suddenly gave Amanda a big group hug, while cheering for her. Suddenly the bell rung and everyone quickly went to class. Alex and his friends went to congratulate Amanda.
"Amanda, you were amazing!" Alex exclaimed causing Amanda blush.
"Thanks Alex." she said."I'm really glad you guys liked it."
