It was the afternoon. You and Zoey we're heading over to your last college class for the day. It was merely the only class you both had together throughout the entire year. You both wanted to study different things. But apparently, the same class you both shared was the only thing you had in common. Quantum physics.
As you we're heading to your class, you ended up running into Zoey who we're walking by herself per usual. You both we're currently best friends. You've been best friends ever since Junior high school.

"Hey, Zoey! Wait up!" You called out to your best friend and ran up to her. She jumped for a second, merely startled by you. She stopped in her tracks and turned her head towards your direction.

"Oh, hey y/n." She said. You both began walking alongside each other as you headed to your class.

"You're always in a rush to class. What's the hurry?" You asked her, already knowing what her answer would probably be.

"I don't know. I just like to get to class early. You know, so I don't be late." She smiled at you awkwardly.

"What do you mean, late? You already have a perfect attendance. Plus, you have extremely good grades. All A's for goodness sake." You stated. Zoey slightly chuckled.

You and Zoey have been best friends ever since high-school. And yeah, she was extremely smart. She was also very a shy and introverted individual. She never really talked to anyone unless it was completely necessary. That obviously doesn't apply to you though.

Surprisingly you and her both got along well. You two eventually became very good friends.

You both graduated junior high school and the both of you ended up going to the same high school as well.

But in your third years of high school, Zoey took a flight across Vietnam with her mother.

The plane malfunctioned and it crashed into a jungle, leaving Zoey being the sole survivor
of the plane crash.

The crash had killed her mother who were on the flight with her as well. It took a whole week for her to be found by the coast guard.

You also had gotten into a plane crash as well. You were going to visit your mom in Australia with your dad.

Something had got caught in the planes engine which caused it to explode. The plane had crushed in the middle of the ocean and you were left to the only survivor. You just sat in a life raft that just happened to be on the plane. It took a few days for them to find you.

That's the main similarity you had with Zoey. You both got into a plane crash. And you both lost a parental figure. But that's not the main reason. Both of your differences and similarities made a connection.

"Has anyone ever heard the saying, A watched pot never boils?" The professor asked the class as he slowly walked around the front of the room.

"Well, On a quantum scale, that might actually be true."

"Does anyone know what the quantum Zeno effect is?" He questioned. There was a short pause and no one seemed to know.
