You and Mike quickly grabbed Danny by the arms and immediately pulled him out of the vent. As soon as he was pulled out, fire shot through the vent and then the grate over the vent closed.
Everyone gasped as the fire shot out of the fireplace over the vent they had came out of. You definitely would've been burnt to a crisp if you all would've stayed in that room. Or not. Is this what they meant by immersive? Luckily, Danny got out of the vent at the very last second before he was scorched. You all we're in a small, cozy, winter cabin like room.

"What the hell!" Jason shouted.

"Oh, Jesus. Talk about immersive." Danny said, panting deeply.

"Immersive!? What the hell is wrong with you? That shit was real!" Amanda yelled at Danny.

"They're obviously just messing with us." Danny said, seeming like he was trying to convince himself. He didn't know whether to believe if it we're real or not. It was obvious.

"Are you kidding me? We would've been fried to a crisp if we didn't make it out of there in time." You said to Danny, breathing hard and sweating.

"Look, it went off right as I cleared it. I must have triggered it. The games master wants us to think we barley made it." Danny stated. He has way to much trust in these escape room companies.

"I can't be the only one." Amanda said to everyone.

"Hey. It's ten grand, and I don't lose." Jason said to Amanda, rolling up his sleeves as he then walked over to a door.

"Well, I'm out, okay?" Amanda then turned to a camera.

"Hi, okay, I'm done. I want out. You let me out of here now!" She yelled demandingly.

"Wait, wait. You think they're watching us right now?" Mike questioned.

"Oh, come on." Danny said.

"Give me your phone. I'm calling the cops." Amanda said to Danny.

"Think about it for a second, okay? What has actually happened to us so far? Nothing. What are you going to tell the cops?" Danny inquired.

"I don't know, maybe that they locked us in a giant oven and tried to cook us." Amanda told him.

"Yeah, is an open flame a common occurrence in these things?" Mike turned to ask Danny.

"Not really." Danny muttered, sounding completely unsure.

"Give me your goddamn phone." Amanda demanded from Danny.

"You do have a phone. How'd you get a phone in here?" Mike questioned.

"I snuck it in." Danny answered as he handed Amanda his phone. Amanda turned on the phone and saw that there weren't any bars.

"There's no signal." Amanda said as she glanced up at the camera above the door.

"Typical." Mike said.

"Well, yeah. We're in a giant concrete building." Danny said.

"Guys, we can figure this out. Look at this place. I mean, the only thing missing is the hot chocolate. Maybe some blankets to sit by the fire place with." Danny tried to reassure.

"All right, how long do you think this games going to last?" Mike questioned Danny.

"I mean, I don't know. I did one that had, like, five rooms once." He responded.

"Five? Five rooms? Okay. So that means we just need to do that four more times." Mike said, chuckling. No one seemed to think it was funny. Especially after nearly getting burned to death in that last room. Mike sure is one positive person. But positivity isn't gonna get you all through this.
