Coach, " How is everyone doing today so today is tryouts to see who plays what position and don't be mad if you aren't a starter, so who wants to be a QB?" I raise my hand and say "I do?" Then the kid next to me raises his hand as well. "Well well well would you look at that a new kid trying to take my spot huh? Well you are going to have to ride the bench cause I'm gonna be the starting quarterback" "Well let's just see who the coach thinks is the best, I wish you luck." Once we start running drills he is looking good he hasn't missed a spot and doesn't look like he is going to. When it is my turn and he heads back he bumps me and whispers "Who is gonna be starter now?" I just ignore him and start calling play the coach is running a slant patern and I have to throw it shortly after the receivers cross the middle I get it perfectly and the coach shakes his head. After a few more plays we get to my favorite play, the streak it is usually called only when you need a big gain of yards or the 2nd or 4th quarter us about to end I don't wanna brag but u have a pretty good arm and for my luck the corner back couldn't keep up with air and is falling behind as I just lob right into his hands. When I walk off the field he gives me more trash talk until he goes again at the end of practice I head over back to the car to see my dad clapping and cheering for my performance. " That was impressive, I wouldn't be suprised if you were a starter." "We will just have to wait till tomorrow at school to see.
