this is for DreamSWilbur ! sapnap regresses a little older in this than what you said in your request, but i hope that's okay:)

Sapnap wakes up with a cold and a bad mood, but cuddles and care from Dream and George make everything much more bearable <3

It is a Sunday morning, birds are chirping in the tree outside his window, and Sapnap is sick.

The discomfort hits him the moment he cracks his eyes open; eyelids sore and puffy, throat scratchy, and nose so blocked that he has no choice but to breathe every breath through his mouth.

His limbs ache even though he hasn't even moved them, and judging by the slightly sweaty feeling of his pajamas and duvet, he has definitely had a fever during the night.

On top of it all, he is already positively regressed, which is usually what happens when he's sick; his mind resorting to a comfier headspace to soften the bad feelings in his body.

With what little energy he has, he manages to carry himself out of bed and down the stairs to go find his friends.

He spots Dream in the living room, standing by the dinner table with his back to the door, presumably writing something on a piece of paper judging by the quiet sounds of pencil scraping coming from over there.

Sapnap shuffles his way over dazedly, pressing his face into a broad back once he gets close enough.

Dream jumps slightly at the sudden headbutt but is quick to relax again, reaching a hand behind himself which Sapnap grabs onto weakly.

"You okay?" He hears the Dream ask softly.

In response, he just buries deeper into the warm t-shirt, silently hoping that Dream will somehow be able to read his mind so he won't have to do any talking.

"Hey," Dream turns around to face him, but Sapnap immediately pushes himself into the blond's chest and wraps his arms tight around him before Dream can get so much as a glance at his weary state.

A hand is placed on the back of his neck, subtly feeling the temperature of his skin. Dream has his suspicions– of course he does.

"Oh, you're going back to bed," Sapnap hears him announce, causing him to shake his head stubbornly.

He will not go back to that stupid, fever bed.

Dream sighs above him and tries to gently ease Sapnap away from himself but to no avail. It's like he's been stuck on with glue or something.

"You're burning up, Sap," he sighs, trying to coax him. "Come on, buddy."

Sapnap doesn't budge, just tightening his hold around Dream's torso and letting out a soft heavily congested whimper.

Dream understands that he won't get anywhere trying to convince him, the boy feeling both too sick and too small to realize he's being stubborn.

So instead he rubs his back and consoles him quietly, "Alright, we can stay like this for a bit. It's okay, baby."

After a couple of minutes of some much-needed hugging, Sapnap lessens his grip and looks up at Dream with cloudy eyes.

"Feel weird," he mumbles.

Dream gives him an apologetic frown. "Yeah you've gotten sick, honey," he says, brushing a tousled strand of hair off the boy's forehead.

Sapnap can't help the tears that well in his eyes. "Make it go away," he whines.
