The sun rose again as Katsuki stopped playing. The Mer had fallen asleep on his legs, which gave out a long time ago. Deku was really heavy; despite what you may think he is very muscular. His hefty tail also added onto the bodyweight. Katsuki yawned and stretched after he set down his ukulele.
Though Katsuki wouldn't admit it, it was nice to have a friend in this time. Of course, he didn't have many in the first place, but it was still nice. Katsuki stared at the sleepy face before him. He scoffed, "Not a care in the world, even though anyone can randomly come around here and see us." Katsuki plastered a hand right smack in the middle of Deku's face.
The Mer stopped breathing for a bit before small snores resumed again. At least that's what Katsuki concluded they were, they sounded more like little high-pitched trills. Katsuki snorted at the Mer not waking up from this and just started to cup the Mers cheek. Removing the curly hairs smeared on his face and pushing them back into the hairline.
Deku suddenly smiled in his sleep and nuzzled into Katsuki's hand. Katsuki's eyes widened and his blush was light, "cute" Katsuki thought to himself before shaking the thought away.
"Deku, wake up nerd." Katsuki shook the mermaid. "Mmm, Kacchan?" Deku yawned in his lap....and went back to sleep. Katsuki scoffed and started to shove the Mer into the sand, freeing his legs.
As soon as he did, he immediately started to feel sharp coldness hit his legs. He didn't realize how the Mer kept him pretty warm despite the conditions. Katsuki got up slowly and wiped some wet sand from his legs as he looked at the still-sleeping Mer in front of him.
It was a funny sight; the Mer not feeling the difference of oxygen from air and water, had half of his head both above and below the surface.
"Pfft- Hahaha!" Katsuki laughed to himself. Deku somehow woke up to this laughter. The Mer yawned loudly, as prickly fangs shown; Katsuki concluded it as something most likely used to hunt for sea creatures.
"What's wrong Kacchan?" Deku sighed. "It's nothing important, don't worry about it," he smiled. "I have to get going though Deku, and I'm sure you have some things to do?" Katsuki said plainly.
"Aw do you really have to go?" Deku pouted. Katsuki rolled his eyes, this merman really is a baby isn't he?
