Katsuki sighed as he planted his hands onto the steering wheel. He couldn't help but feel somewhat stressed, he gripped the wheel.
Why was he so mad?
Is it really just because they ruined his schedule? Or is it something more than that? An unknown grudge? Katsuki couldn't tell, maybe it's because they unintentionally caused the end of his relationship and that brought him emotional stress? That seems like the highest possibility, but it's not something Katsuki wanted to think of as one.
Katsuki took another breath before turning his keys. He heard another chime of the cafe door open, but he didn't really care to look. He drove off.
-
Katsuki didn't even know how long he drove for, but he somehow ended up at the beach once again. He swiftly got out of his car, getting hit by the cold wind almost instantly. He'd surely get hypothermia if he entered the water now, it was reaching wintertime which made sense. "Deku!!! Hey, Nerd! Where are you?!" He called out to his friend.
Katsuki attempted to warm up his arms as he walked along the beach. I just wanna talk to him, is that so damn hard? He thought to himself.
"Bakugou. What are you doing? Its freezing out here." A familiar voice called out from behind Katsuki. Katsuki turned almost immediately with a scoff. "Why the hell are you here? Did you follow me?!"
Todoroki stood a little awkwardly as Katsuki suddenly turned to him. He hesitated for a moment before he approached a bit closer to Katsuki. "I just wanted to talk to you, are you doing okay?" He asked in a concerned manner yet hoping that this could spark the conversation Todoroki thought over. Katsuki practically hissed as Todoroki got closer, "I already told you guys I'm fine! I don't need to talk to you, and I don't want to talk to you."
Todoroki frowned. "But you've been acting really strange all day, surely there's something you need to get off your chest..." Todoroki suddenly had a look that Katsuki noticed. A look of guilt. "What the hell are you even saying?? What do you mean? I'm not hiding anything so fuck off." Katsuki turned back around and started walking again across the beach.
"Then why are you at this beach? You know you can't surf in this season." Todoroki spoke once more as he kept pestering Katsuki. "It's none of your goddamn business... why don't you just piss off." Katsuki scoffed once more, he hated this, he just wanted to be with Deku. Deku is always around, why isn't he here right now instead of Todoroki?
Why is anyone here but Deku? Man, Katsuki really wasn't having a good day off.
-
Deku really hated how much he had to wait for Katsuki to show up, but today it felt... especially long. He hadn't forgotten about him already did he? Well, he was sure that a human wouldn't have forgotten about a merman ever actually, so why is it taking so long?
He's had to stay in a little corner all day, avoiding the rare occurrences when humans were walking around on the beach this time of the year. If only Deku could walk on the beach too, he would be able to be with Katsuki whenever he wanted. If only.
Deku was determined to stay around, no matter how long he's waited for by now. He misses him more than anything after all, so why wouldn't he? Deku had been washing off another seashell before finally, as the sun began to set on the horizon, he heard his voice. He was ready to practically jump out of the water when he finally heard him, his Kacchan.
Though he had immediately stopped when he heard more footsteps following after him. Why was someone else suddenly walking on the beach? How unlucky. Well, he was thinking that he was the one that was unlucky until he heard the other voice interacting with Katsuki. Who is that?
Deku couldn't help but try to take a peek, his tail that was idling now moved him forward slightly to see just enough while still being hidden. Deku saw a man that was around the same height as Katsuki with strange-looking duel colored hair. Deku would probably write about the unusual hair color later in one of his scrolls at home, but for now his attention was focused on the conversation.
"Kacchan.." Deku muttered to himself in a worried manner, hearing his tone as more hostile than usual with this person. Were they bothering him?
-
"Bakugou, you know that I just want to help. Why do you keep pushing us away like this? You won't even tell me why you came here, and we used to talk all the time. What happened? What changed? Just talk to me." Todoroki was persistent, as he usually was. Despite his quiet nature, he knew to stick to what he cares about and right now he cares about getting to the bottom of all of this. He finally reached Katsuki and grabbed a hold of his arm.
"I already told you that it's none of your damn business! Why do you always have to go around snooping where you shouldn't?! Let me go!" Katsuki tried to pull away right when he was first grabbed, but Todoroki's grip was quite firm. The persistence he had was always annoying to Katsuki. Both him and Uraraka would just never give up on him at all and it pissed him off.
Not long after Katsuki yelled at Todoroki too let him go, there was an extremely high-pitched shrill. It was highly unnatural, and it was loud enough to make both Katsuki and Todoroki cover their ears in pain.
And in the next moment, Katsuki suddenly felt cold, webbed hands grasp onto him and drag him right down onto the sand. The shrill had thankfully ceased, but Katsuki was still very much confused right before he felt familiar arms wrapping tightly around his waist. He turned immediately, seeing Deku right there. He was practically hissing at Todoroki, which is something Katsuki has never seen him do before.
...But why? Deku knew there was another human and he decided to show himself now?
