Michael loves Jeremy.

Jeremy was his other half. His ride or die. The person he plans to spend his whole life with.

But love can't always make you love yourself.

And somedays he just feels so drained and he just can't.

Today, unfortunately, was one of those days.

He had been laying in his bed for god knows how long. Just there... He didn't have the energy to get up. Michael wasn't in the mood to eat or play video games.

Was there a reason for any of this? No.

He just couldn't explain why he felt so sad and it angered him. And then he became sad from being angry. Rinse and repeat.

"Micha!" a cheery voice from downstairs yells. "Where are you? I have one of the funniest stories and I wanted to try cooking the two of us dinner. Maybe watch a movie and cuddle on the couch? And we can-" His voice faltered when he walked into the bedroom.

"Babe, what's wrong?" Jeremy said in a soft voice crawling into bed with him.

Michael simply shrugged his shoulders. It wasn't because he didn't want to say he just truly didn't know.

Jeremy nodded and softly massaged Michael who was giving comfortable sighs.

"You know those little homemade tickets you made for me on our anniversary?"

"The ones that said stuff like, use once for a free movie date?"

"Yes! Those. I could just use a hug right now. So can I redeem that ticket right now?"

Jeremy giddily clapped his hands giving a nod. He shrugged off his sweater and went flopped back in bed.

Michael felt warm arms embrace him. The two melted into the hug.

There was no need for words. The two felt comfortable just lying there being surrounded by each other's love and warmth.

So sure maybe some days Michael felt drained but Jeremy was always there to recharge him again.
