Test Tube? // by my side // II fanfic

Summer day

Summer... Everyone's favorite season. The freedom of running around outside in the blazing summer heat, getting baked by that overall nice sun. Nothing could possibly be better than getting some vitamin D and getting a tan, right?

Well to this certain green filled specimen, you would be wrong. Test Tube likes to spend most of her time sitting inside of her lab, a lab that is rather deep underground. Shes stayed down here for maybe longer than she can remember, only going up to the surface if she really needs too. 

She doesn't really have friends, she never really made friends even when she needed to be up around the others. A social outcast by force in school and now a social outcast by choice. She liked being alone... Or its what she would like to believe, really she hated it, sometimes her thoughts got a little to strong for her to handle.

Only really saving herself with making experiments. Humane or inhuman, its hard to tell when it comes to her. She loved science, maybe a tad too much, the one thing she majorly excelled at.

She sat down in her lab, like any other day. Overheating from the summer heat heating up the entrance to her lab, only making the lab warmer by the second. She stared down at the notes scattered around on her desk, trying to think of what to do now to distract herself from her boring metal grey walls around her, sweat dripping down her glass a bit.

She looked at all the pages very closely, each one with an experiment of different variety. Not one of them looking like they would keep her distracted for long. She kinda threw them aside and then stood up. She contemplated going out to get new things to think of new projects, but really that sounded like a waste. 

She sighed a bit, the sigh sounded a bit pained, clearly she hasn't really used her voice in... Say... Years? She went to go get her tube thing to come down so she could go to the surface before her landline rang, She only set that thing up someone on the upper world to talk to her... If anyone even came to talk to her which no one usually did. She was confused, obviously. She slowly looked over at the phone and then went over to it, the ringing was kind of annoying to her.

She looked at the camera system for where the phone was and it was malfunctioning, because of course it was. She kinda shakily picked up the phone. She was silent for a bit before she heard the others breathing on the other side of the phone.

"Hello?"
