Yes it was infact true that jungkook was mad at him for not comming home on his birthday cause the only gift he wanted was taehyung himself but what could taehyung do he had his shootings in his hometown and wouldnt be able to come but here he was leaving all his work behind just to come meet his human size bunny who kept whining and sulking not to forget was losing his temper according to yoongi.
And to say taehyung didnt regret it would be an understatement he came running leaving all his work behind cause it was way better then a sulky bunny.
