It all happened in 1987 on a Friday evening. I was at the arcade with my friends, it was around 6-7pm. There was a bar inside the arcade and me and my friends were at the age to buy one. I however, bought a couple shots, only like 3-4. Not too much, not too less. We were playing pac-man, street fighters, q*bert and froggers. 30 minutes later, we wanted to go home and watch movies. We lived in Airtopia and we were at an arcade called Gameblock. We walked out and hopped in my car, I had pictures of my friends and family with a slight count of stickers. They were adorable and some were inspiring too. May, Cara, Rosa and I were all buckled in the car. I checked my one way view and reassured no one was there. I was slowly getting dizzier by the moment, why? It was from the drinks I bought an hour ago. I had slowly started to back up and drive away. I had to turn on my headlights to see where I was driving. All I saw was streetlights and long roads that could go forever in a fever dream. It seemed like we were going by slowly but we weren't, and I knew it. All I would see driving around were walking black figures with a tint of light in their eyes. The lights seemed to get brighter and the peoples faces were getting clearer. I was reaching the road lights and it was red, I didn't realize and I hit him. I had ran over Elijah, I heard my car crash into other cars and started to hear a blur. My vision started to blur and I could hear a faint noise from the cars and people screeching. One person started to shout

"DIAL 911!"

"THEY ARE INJURED"

"HELP THEM! HURRY"

My body started to shake 'cause my friends were helping me get my things together.

They hopped out and saw who I had hit. I got together and looked to see who I had hit. Soon, I realized who it was. It was Elijah. I gazed mournfully and saw blood and a body lying there. The red and blue lights started to show as they started to arrive, the lights were reflecting off the cars and windows. Police and the ambulance had already shown up to see what was happening within the last few minutes. I had a few scratches and marks on my body, same with May 'cause she had sat beside me. (In the passenger seat) The police's name was Mark Sydney, he had interrogated us over on the sidewalk. Many people had come out to see what had happened, and some knew who we were. Mark had looked at us glowering, then had asked me a few questions.

"Are you okay?"
"Yes, I have a few scratches and marks left on my body, they will heal over time though."

"By any chance, are you drunk?"

I looked at him abashedly. He had realized that my friends and I were drunk.

Elijah however, was on a stretcher being put in the ambulance, my parents arrived and had cried into my arms. Mark had asked for my license and so I handed it to him. He asked my parents a few questions and told them that I was no longer allowed to drive freely until I was 23. (I am 21.) I was given a couple of fines but I know I should've thought more about drinking whilst driving. Yet I still did it anyways, I just wanted to go home. I didn't think I'd get drunk quickly. I never tried alcohol ever in my 21 years I was alive for.

I could see Elijah being rushed to the hospital, which was on the other side of the town. We don't live in a really big city, nor a really small town. Just the right size of a town / city place.

Mark.S took us four into the police car and rushed us to the hospital. Elijah's condition were not the best but not the worst. The blood was being dripped from each spot they had rolled him to. He was being put into the ER whilst we were being interrogated again, but this time.. I had given him a lot more detail that had happen. He said,

"Well, you and your friends will be doing community services till 1988. Only for a year, It won't be that bad. Yet you did cause damage to other cars around you, but I'm sure they can pay it off."

Mark said looking at us with a displeased look. He knew that what we did was wrong. Us five had been waiting in the waiting room for 4 hours, waiting for Elijah. Elijah had been my friend for years. Ever since daycare, him and I were the closest of friends.
