A/N: Just realized I never uploaded these here. so here we are. bite-sized stories/ideas.
. . .
Kou's perspective:
"Ghost" echoed from the back of his mind the longer he watched Hanako and Amane interact.
His blue eyes slowly shifted to Amane, then to Hanako.
Hanako... Kou didn't know what to make of her.
The name did not suit her.
It felt incorrect as if it wasn't who he knew her as. As if she had stolen it.
He burst onto the roof, fully prepared to face an evil supernatural entity, but instead, he found a girl with droopy red eyes that stirred something akin to nostalgia deep within him.
Kou's emotions have always led him.
It all felt off.
Wrong.
Flares of jealousy you'd find in a puppy when Amane would tease her as if he was close to Hanako.
Remorse, when Hanako grabbed him, the impossibly light touched her transparent hands that felt too cold.
An imprint of something he must have felt at one point, but he could not recall.
Amane, on the other hand, his name felt bad in Kou's mouth.
Almost unnatural to even utter, even though that's all Kou has ever known him as.
He felt the hair on the back of his neck raise, watching Amane cut food while the two were cooking, uneasy with how sloppy his slices were.
Something told him Amane should be a lot better at handling a knife.
With his twin, the urge to protect his friends was strong, though Tsukasa has never posed a threat.
They became friends just after their confrontation on the roof, bonding over video games and food.
Amane's eyes felt far too alive than how he feels he remembers them as.
Nights laying on his bed, unable to rest, Kou thought about why he felt the way he did.
