A/n: December. 3 months before Amane officially meets Nene[Hanako].
Amane, Tsu, Mitsuba, Kou - second-year middle school.
Aoi, Akane - third-year middle school.
I wanted to write a fluff piece.
Also, I might write about Amane and Aoi's friendship. Because I really think they would be besties. I love them. I love Tsukasa as a good boy, chaotic but genuine and good....
Winter.
Amane's least favorite season.
He always had gotten sick. Always sick. But! But this year, Amane had only gotten sick once! Unlike the previous year where he was practically bed-bound the entire season.
Classes had been let out a little bit early, and clubs were canceled due to an approaching snowstorm.
Although all the students were told to get home and the fact he didn't like the cold, Amane stood in the field. He was laughing at his best friend Kou, who he just threw a snowball at.
The blond was yelling at him, waving his fist before swooping it into the fresh snow, making his own snowball.
Amane clutched his stomach, eyes closed. Too busy laughing away at his friend's face when he got hit, he didn't see Kou's snowball.
It hit him directly in his face with such force it knocked him off his feet, falling backward into the snow.
"What the hell is wrong with you!?" Amane yelped, his hand on his bright red cheek, icy stinging, causing him to falter and wince.
"That's what you get!" Kou jeered, already packing another snowball together.
Amane gasped at the sight of the snowball in his hand, "Don't you dare, you bastard! Go throw it at Mitsuba or Tsu!"
He scrambled to his feet, grabbing a fistful of snow and preparing to strike back.
"No! You hit me first! Prepare for my retribution!" Kou laughed at him, pulling his hand back.
The black-haired boy was barely able to dodge in time, throwing his snowball at him.
"Gah!" Kou cried out, "Cold!!"
He swatted at his shirt collar, trying to get the snow off, but it only helped the snow slip under his shirt, "FUU—"
"You both are so stupid! There is a snowstorm, and you guys are playing like children! You both are so lame!" Mitsuba yelled at them from where he stood a few yards away from them.
Even with the aggression in his voice, he still held his phone up, recording the pair with a small smile.
"Stupid traffic-earing boy." He muttered into the phone, zooming in on the pair to show the expressions on their faces.
"Wow, they're certainly having fun, aren't they?~"
Mitsuba turned his head, blinking at the sight of two of his senpai.
"Aoi-senpai, Akane-senpai?" He was surprised, He assumed they went home already, "Why are you still here?"
"Oh? We were just gathering some items in case we couldn't come to class tomorrow because of the weather.~" She sounded as cheerful as ever.
Akane agreed, trying to win points from her, as always.
Mitsuba wanted to cringe at her cheerfulness and his simping, but he refrained, returning his attention back to his phone.
"I wanna play, too!" Tsukasa screamed, running out from the building towards the pair, "Can I join!?
Even though he asked, he didn't bother waiting for either to respond, throwing a snowball directly at Amane's head.
"Hey! Stop aiming for my head!" Amane yelled, it just barely missed, "Just whose side are you on, Tsu!?"
"No one!" He giggled, launching a snowball at Kou and hitting him in the arm.
"They are all so immature." Akane crossed his arms, shaking his head with disappointment.
"I think it's cute.~" Aoi cupped her cheek, smiling at the three playing.
"Of course they are!" He agreed immediately, "Not as cute as you, though!"
She hummed, sparing him a glance, "I give it one point."
Akane's face fell. The impromptu snowball fight had ended with Amane and Kou flat in the snow, shivering from the cold seeping into their clothing.
"That..." Amane panted, trying to fill his lungs with the icy air, coughing lightly, "...Was fun."
Kou nodded, "We should do this again sometime,"
"No," Amane shook his head, cringing at the snow brushing against his neck, "I never want to do this again— way too cold,"
"Oh, right, I forget you don't like the cold."
"Amane's going to get sick!" Tsukasa cheerfully pointed out, plopping down into the snow between the two.
"No, I am not! Stop lying, Tsu,"
"You always get sick when you play in the snow with us,"
"Yeah, I'm on Tsukasa's side with this one. This was a bad idea," Kou interrupted Amane before he got the chance to fight with his twin, "I'll make you some soup if you do,"
"You're the best, Kou,"
"I just feel bad for making you sick," Kou pushed himself up, brushing off any snow that clung to him before it could melt and freeze him even more, "Come on, you two, let's get home before the storm hits,"
"I don't want to," Amane whines, huffing.
"Come on, dude." Kou rolled his eyes, yanking him up by his arm. Let's go."
Amane let him pull him up, "I don't want to go home,"
"Can we spend the night at your house?" Tsukasa asked Kou, clinging to the blond's arm, "Mom and Dad 's not gonna be home, so it's just us!"
"Uhm, I'd have to ask Teru-nii," Kou said, looking around. Where's my bag?"
"Right here, dumb ass!" Mitsuba kicked the bag at his feet, "You both left your stupid bags here!"
"Oi! Don't kick it, idiot!" Kou snapped, pushing the twins off him to grab his back, "You might break something!"
The blond pulled his phone out, checked it over, and said, "Sousuke! You're stupid. You could've broken it!"
"Hey! It's not my fault you kept your stupid phone in your bag! You idiot!"
He rolled his eyes, "Whatever, dumb ass."
"Eh!? You're calling me a dumb ass!? What the hell is wrong with you!? I'm too cute to be called that!"
"Yeah, Yeah," Kou muttered, scrolling through his phone, pulling it to his ear, "Shut up, I'm calling my brother!"
"You both certainly are lively tonight, huh?~" Aoi commented, a knowing look in her eyes.
This time, Mitsuba cringed at her, "What are you even implying, you smiling freak,"
He yelped at the glare Akane gave him, grabbing onto Kou's sleeve, "Err— I didn't mean it!"
Aoi just giggled at the two, covering her mouth.
