I walk in preparing for the worst. After my step dad passed away my mom started doing drugs. My older sister left. And all I have left is my little sister. I went to my room and started working on homework. I heard the door slam. 'Moms home' then I hear screaming and my little sister crying I run downstairs and that's when I see my mom hit my little sister. As she went to do it again I got in front of my little sister and took the hit.
"Go to your room I'll take care of it ok christy?"
"How dare you get in my way you brat!" My mom yells. I then take every hit. Every scratch. Every kick. When shes done she goes to hide in her room. I then go up to my room. I fall on my bed and cry. And before I knew it sleep crept up on me like the plague. And I fell asleep
Beep Beep Beep Beep
I groan and dismiss my alarm. I should be the only one here now. My little sister should school and my mom always disappears during the day. I get out of bed and get ready for school. I leave my hair down to cover my face and I put a black long sleeved shirt on under my uniform and I walk to school keeping my head down.
I make it to class after the other students. Most of them say good morning but I just wave and go to the back. I shouldn't be getting close. I have to many problems and I can't drag people down with me. I notice bakugo staring at me. He had a puzzled look on his face as if hes trying to figure me out.
Finally Mr Aizawa comes in and tells us to put on our hero costumes and head to the gym.

It doesnt cover all the bruises. But most of them. I leave my hair down hoping it wont get in the way. I then meet up with everyone else. Bakugo is standing off to the side staring at me when I appear. I see him gasp. 'Crap I hope he didn't see'
"Basically you guys are going to do some training and figure out how to improve your quirk. While doing so make note of things you need to keep working on." And with that we go off. 'I need to get strong. I need to be able to protect my little sister'
I walk over to some fallen rocks. Perfect.
"Meteor shower!" Soon the fallen rocks and boulders go flying into a rock like mountain. Out of breath i wipe the sweat and try to perfect it. But my body is still weak due to the fact I havent eaten in a couple days.
"Hey nerd!" I look to see Bakugo walking my way 'Shit what do I do'
"Uhh hi Bakugo" I try to laugh but it comes out as a nervous chuckle
"I noticed your bruises and wanted to ask about it"
"Oh uh I fell is all. Missed a step at home hehe"
"Does that explain the busted lip and black eye too or is there something you're hiding"
"No. It's fine really. I just got a little clumsy is all" He let out an unsatisfied growl and went to turn around.
"If you need to talk come find me. I know those aren't from falling I'm not an idiot" and that he walked away.

Finally school is over and I start walking home by myself. Taking as long as I can.

After the first day of school I couldn't stop thinking about Astrid. She's gorgeous. Her smile was sincere as she spoke. Not to mention she beat my score with that stupid ball. I need to get stronger and better than her.
The next day at school I get there and she wasn't here yet. I sit. Finally after a few minutes she comes in. Her hair is covering her face and she has her head down. When people start to say good morning she looks up a bit and I noticed her face. Her lip was busted and she had a black eye. All she did was wave and go to the back of the room.
In the gym she was the last to come out in her hero costume. Man she looks great. But then I see more bruises. I gasp. Is she being hit?

I watch from a distance. Shes good. I decide to go talk to her.
"Hey nerd!" I yell. Walking her way. She looks nervous.
"Uhh hi Bakugo" she tries to laugh but it comes out as a nervous chuckle
"I noticed your bruises and wanted to ask about it" I ask hoping she answers
"Oh uh I fell is all. Missed a step at home hehe" 'yea that's not convincing'

"No. Its fine really. I just got a little clumsy is all" I let out an unsatisfied growl and went to turn around. I wanted to know the truth. But shes scared.
"If you need to talk come find me. I know those aren't from falling I'm not an idiot" and with that I walked away.
After school I see her walking by herself. I decide to follow. But not to where she notices. She makes it to a house. Huh not far from me. I keep a little distance but slowly inch more and more to her house. I hide when I see a car pull in the driveway. A women steps out. Im guessing thats her mom. I hear the door slam and then yelling. I peek in the window and see Astrid protecting a little girl
"She didnt do anything wrong! Im the one who forgot to do the dishes!" And then I see the most horrifying thing. Her mom beats her. When her mom leaves Astrid doesn't even bother to put on shoes she runs out the door. I carefully follow. She keeps running till she finds a park. No one comes here ever.

I got home and started working on homework but I hear my mom pull up so I go downstairs.
"Why aren't these damn dishes done!?" She yells throwing a plate on the floor.
She was going to hit Christy but I got there before she could.
"She didn't do anything wrong! Im the one who forgot to do the dishes!" And then she beats me again. When she goes to her room I just run out the door and I go to and old park I found a while back. No one comes here so it's a great place to think. I make it to the swing and as I sit and bury my face in my hands and cry.
"Why didn't you just tell me the truth"
I look up and see Bakugo. Hes getting closer.
"Please just leave me alone."
"Not till you tell me the truth."
I sigh in defeat. Knowing I can't get out of this. He comes to sit on the swing next to me.
"A few years back my step dad passed away. When he did my mom started doing drugs. Which is why she lashes out. My brother is gone and my older sister left. Im the only one that takes care of my little sister. I even take the hits for her." I start crying. I've never told anyone.
"Does your brother know?"
"No. I stay away from him because.... He umm.. He r... Raped me." I clench my hands trying to hold back the tears.
I look at bakugo and he just looks speechless.
"You need to get out of that house"
"I can't mom threatened me and I can't leave my sister"
"Can't you go to the cops!" He said yelling. Not angry at me but the situation
"I can't don't you understand. I'll be in so much trouble" my breath is starting to quicken. Oh no not again I need to calm down I can't have a panic attack right now
