French class goes on boring me to death, I mean does the teacher not understand that its our lunch time and we're supposed to be eating baguettes not learning about them.
I sigh as I look towards the clock, okay only 10 minutes to go U CAN DO IT AMY.
I glance at the other students in my class as they all bear bored expressions and my eye fall on one boy specifically. Jake.
What can I say I was feeling confident so I texted him ( via zoom meet chat )
- when will the torture end?!
I wait for his reaction and I was awarded with a slight smile as he responds
- ikr I hate this teacher
I was just going to reply when I looked at the chat closely. That IDIOT had sent it to everyone instead of private chat. O m g he's so dead HAHA.
THE LOOK ON HIS FACE got me dead as I still remember it to this day.
I watched as the teacher read the message and glanced up and gave him such a look as if he had asked for both her kidneys.
I literally could not hold my laughter it was so funny.
From that day onwards, me and Jake started texting after our kinda weird past but as they say what's done is done and you can't change it.
It was honestly fun like as they say a blast from the past? We insulted the teachers and praised some, about our different friendships and about the amount of hw we have ot do every single day.
One day the topic came up as he wrote
-ngl it's weird and cool that I'm friends with my ex
I smiled at the thought as realised not everyone gets to do this again and wrote back
- but who said we're friends?
So this is how we were talking about literally anything but our relationship although whenever we felt brave enough we did touch upon the topic but again that topic closed as fast as it came up.

I went to bed, knowing that I had gained one more friend and had one less enemy even though we weren't really enemies it was just a nice thought to have.
I told him about Paul, my boyfriend, we had been in a relationship for 2 years and it was going strong.

I started laughed almost instantly, although a lot of people told me that but honestly i liked Paul. He wasn't the handsome quarterback or the badass player but the perfect pretty ugly ( not ugly for me tho ) and I loved him with all my heart, even though I was only 15.
I bit my lip and wrote back
Amy- well u should have known I was blind, after all I dated you.
Jake- 😑

So as weeks passed we steered away from the small talk and onto a few relationship talks. At first it was awckward and kinda weird but slowly it just felt right right communicate about it. Our relationship for 6 months why we broke up and later on how he fell in love with my best friend and I dated my best friend, Paul, for 2 years. We remembered our friendship and the weirdest shit we went through and when we finally broke up it just all went away, like most relationships but ours was supposed to be different, right?
I guess it wasn't.

Just before quarintine had started ( that's why it's online right now ) came my best friend, Elena.
She was as pretty as her name but oh she wasn't just a pretty face, she was smart, mean but in a nice way and the dream girl to any boy.

I remember being jealous of her, how she got all the attention while I was shudded to the side. I never really realised that the most important love is self love which sounds quite cliche but facts girl.

Anyways, like any other boy jake fell in love with her. He became a part of our group just to be around her and even though I was with Paul, I couldn't help feeling slightly jealous sometimes which I now understand was quite a toxic feeling.

We used to call him the simp guy haha cause he was never in the classroom when she wasn't in and he used to blush so much when he was around her it was funny. He was quite the bad guy of the group tho uk the one who knew all the swear words and dirty minded scenarios which one wouldnt even dream of.
