(angst-ish to comfort. Gender dysphoria, Mammon being a sweetheart.)

Mammon had felt uncomfortable the whole day. Today had been quiet, in fact, it was way too quiet for his liking. You had been locked away in your broom all day and it was nearing 3 pm and you hadn't once come to get food. He had tried to convince you to leave your room after realising that your door was locked and he couldn't just walk in. He'd been messaging you all day trying to find out what was wrong, only realising soon he was left on read and then left on delivered. His curiosity was eating him whole. He missed his human deeply and as a result, he had been pacing around his room for the past 30  minutes, contemplating what he should do until he finally decided that he would try his luck with you again to find out what was going on.

He began to nervously walk to your room. He was desperate to figure out why you had seemed so glum in the past week. He couldn't stand not seeing his human anymore so he rushed to your room.

He didn't bother to knock, instead, he tried his luck to see if the door was unlocked. He heard a click and that's when he knew you had finally unlocked your door.

"(dead na-)" He couldn't finish his sentence. He saw you sitting on the floor at the end of your bed. You looked away from him, hiding your face. Your arms covered your chest and your knees sat tightly against your trembling body. He swore he could hear his heartbreak. He closed the door behind him and looked at you for a couple of seconds before walking over to you.

"Hey human, what goin' on with ya'?" He said before kneeling down next to you, a worried expression painting his face. He heard you sniffle as more tears formed in your e/c eyes. He briefly looked down at your body, noticing you didn't have a shirt but instead had your arms covering your chest. Your skin was bruised in dark hues of purple. "H-hey, how did....that happen'?" He asked, concern lacing his voice "Here" He covered your front with his jacket. You looked at him and then looked down, trying your best to avoid the question. When he saw your face stained with tears his heart broke. "Tell me (dead name), how'd it happen'!?" He said in a raised voice. Suddenly your eyes filled with a wall of tears as sadness laced through your mind. How you hated that name. A loud sob left your mouth as your tears continued to fall uncontrollably. Your expression warped into even deeper sadness. "Ah- crap, I'm sorry I didn't mean to shout." He wrapped his arm around your shoulders. "T-That's n-not it Mammon." You said through your tears as you leaned into his touch craving his comfort. He swallowed. "Tell me, why are ya' cryin'?" He asked in a softer voice. Your mind raced trying to figure out how to word your answer until it just came out. "I-I'm transgender." You began to explain the reasons behind the dark plumb coloured bruises peppering your chest and the nights you spent judging your body. Mammon listen closely, not daring to speak until you were done.

Your Eyes filled with brand knew tears. You felt the weight of your sorrows being lifted off your shoulders. "I-I don't like being a girl and I hate being referred to as she. I hate the name (dead name) so much. Whenever I hear it I feel sick. I wanna be a boy so badly."Mammon listens to your rant, being sure to listen extremely carefully, not wanting to upset you any further. He felt waves of guilt wash over him, knowing that him calling you (dead name) caused you so much pain. You were his favourite human and you were supposed to be protected by him but the thought that he was hurting you ate him alive.

When you finished your rant he pulled you closer to him. "I-I'm not good with stuff like this, but I want ya' to know that I love ya' no matter who ya' wanna be. If ya' want me to call ya' by a different name then I will o-or if ya' want me to refer to ya' differently. J-Just know that I'm here for ya' whenever ya' need me." His words melted you as you fell closer into his embrace. Tears left your eyes but instead this time they were tears of relief. You finally felt accepted by someone and not just that, but you were accepted for who you were by your favourite demon.

"S-So Human. What should I call ya' from now on?" You both sat in silence before you quietly said the name you had longed to be called. " Y/n." He looked down at you and a slight smile dusted his lips. "It suits ya' well, Y/n." Tears of happiness welled up in your eyes. You leaned into the white-haired demon's embrace.

A few minutes had passed and you noticed Mammon was growing uncomfortable with something. "What's bothering you?" You said, looking up at his face. He frowned. "Ya' know, there are safer ways for ya' to do this." He said, pointing at your chest, a frown still lying on his face. You looked down at the bruised flesh on your chest and frowned.

"Ya' know, if it makes ya' feel better I could get you a binder." He said. You looked up at him a small smile grazed your lips as you pulled his jacket closer to you. "Oh, you really don't have to." You assured him. Although, he kept persisting.

"I want to help ya' in any way I can Y/n. Besides, I only want what's best for my Human." Then he planted a soft kiss on your forehead.

For once in your life, you felt safe and protected. Being in the Avatar of Greeds arm filled you with a sense of warmth. You never wanted him to leave. You wanted to stay with him. You truly couldn't have asked for a more supportive demon.

(Yo. So I wrote this because I've recently been feeling a lot of gender dysphoria and I feel like writing about it is a good way to vent emotion. I would just like to say since this reminded me if you are binding PLEASe bind safely especially if you are still growing. It can damage your growth. Please use a binder made by a professional and only wear it for a shortened amount of time. If you don't have access to a binder don't make your own, instead use sports bras as they are less harmful than homemade binders.)
