Y/N POV

My watch beeped. I read the clock on the wall and I felt a wave of relief wash over me. It was finally 10PM again! I was working at the faz pad cafe when it struck. I took off my apron and went to the locker room. I put my work clothes neatly in my locker and pulled on my regular clothes. I grabbed my phone and headed out of the locker room. I remembered the path to Monty's golf course since I had been going there the past couple nights. I took the elevator up to the atrium and started to run. I was panting by the time I got to the entrance. I walked inside and pushed the button for the elevator. The doors opened and I went inside. The elevator arrived at the lobby area. I stepped outside and walked around for a while until I found the bridge. I ran across and I saw Monty out of the corner of my eye already in the pond. I decided that I wanted to surprise him. I snuck through the fake palm trees as I made my way to the pond. I was finally able to see it. Monty was in the pond, but someone else was there too. I ducked behind a tree and peered out from behind it. I broke out in tears when I saw who it was. Vanessa, the security guard, was in the pond as well. And she was making out with him! I watched her caress his arms and cheek while she was kissing him. I tried to stay quiet but I just couldn't. I ran back to the path, not caring how much noise I made. I walked across the bridge and looked over at the pond. I saw Vanessa pointing at me and laughing. I felt more tears stream down my cheek. Montgomery looked at me with sadness in his eyes. "So, all that stuff you said to me, it was all a fucking lie?!" I shouted at him. He gave me a shocked look, and that's when I just snapped. "Was I not good enough for you?! You know, all I wanted was just someone that could care about me for once! Someone I could love! But I guess I just don't deserve that!" I yelled, trying to sound stable. I stomped off, trying to find the elevator. After a few minutes of searching, I finally found it. I pushed the button and waited. While I was waiting, Montgomery came up behind me. "What the hell could you possibly want now?" I said over my shoulder. "Y/N, i-it wasn't what It looked like!" Monty stammered. I flipped around and looked directly into his eyes. "Oh, yeah? What was it then?!" I said. Montgomery opened his mouth to speak, but that's when Vannessa walked up. "Babe, why did you leave? We were having so much fun!" Vannessa said, putting her arms on Montgomery's shoulder. "Y/N, we're just friends!" Montgomery said in a pleading tone. "Actions speak louder than words, asshole." I said as the elevator doors opened. I got inside and angrily clicked the close doors button repeatedly. I walked out of the golf course and down the stairs to the locker room to get the rest of my things. I grabbed my stuff and walked out of the building and locked the front doors. I was the last one to leave, so I had to lock everything down. I was taking the key out of the lock when I looked up. It was Montgomery. I looked into his eyes. I felt something inside of me snap again. I angrily shoved the key into my pocket and flipped him off as I walked back to my car. I got in and started it up. I heard the engine roar to life as I threw the car into reverse and sped out of the parking lot. All I wanted to do was go home. I finally arrived at my apartment. I hope to never see that gator again...
