He wasn't expecting it, he just wasn't. He let out a low growl, letting the sound be heard so the other skeleton that was in front of him heard him loud and clear. He wanted to make sure the other knew he wasn't at all pleased of this little surprise. He couldn't exactly blame him full, unfortunately, they both didn't have control of who they ended up with. They were both in the throne room of Nightmare's castle, Dust and Horror off in a mission while Killer was left behind to be assigned his when they both had felt the sudden tug on their souls. And it was all the more obvious when Killer's soul had turn into the shape of that of an apple, reflecting a trait of his half."Sorry to say but this," Killer said as he pointed to his soul and to Nightmare. "I don't control" Nightmare only growled more his only eye light seeming to want to roll in from the seeming anger its owner was feeling.
"Say the words" Nightmare completely ignored Killer's sarcasm and went straight to the point. "I don't need this nonsense getting in the way of destroying my brother in what he's building"
Killer seemed to hesitate a bit before smiling, an idea seeming to have presented itself before him. "I know it is not my place to say but what if we keep this little 'thing' for little while and see if it could be useful in certain ways," Nightmare tilted his head signally for Killer to continue, though his mood was still the same. He admired Killer for his boldness it wasn't easy to speak up an idea of one's own to him when he was this sour of a mood. Many would have kept their mouth shut in his place, nodding and just simply obeying orders when they were given to them and that simply was just boring. He liked when they responded back with their own spark. "Trick, act and feel" Killer shrugged, his low lit eyelights rolling about and taking out a knife he had suddenly in his hand. He twirled it a bit playing with it like nothing. "A charade you could say"
"I will not remind you what you already know"
Killer stepped up the two stairs where the throne seat was, and where Nightmare sat. His legs crossed and head leaning towards one hand observing Killer as he got closer. He swore he didn't mean to make his soul pound faster seeing the other skeleton getting closer to him, the scent of mixed dried blood and fresh water rain getting stronger as he approached.
"Your soul is beating fast isn't it?" He whispered. Nightmare didn't move feeling something struck him still. What was Killer doing to him? Only by just a small whisper and his bones stilled and even his tendrils slowed down almost wanting to wrap themselves around him, safe even. "I feel it too" It was like he was reading his mind and he didn't like it at all. "But it's the only way to fool your brother, after all I had a very good teacher to teach me all I needed to know to knock them down" Killer almost wanted to smirk. It seemed this whole soulmate thing could help him conquer even the very king of negativity, something in which he thought he could never do. This could only last for so long and by stars he will enjoy every last bit of it even if in the end he had to end it short.
"This," Nightmare said interrupting his thoughts, his eye lights momentarily appearing for a short moment before disappearing, Killer tilted his head to the side as he pulled back. His footsteps soundless even if there was suppose to be an echo, one of the many reasons why Nightmare often assigned him to certain missions when it came to stealth. "This was one of the many reasons why I said to say the words. It does unnecessary things to the mind and those... emotions..." Nightmare made a disgusted face his features almost making it looked like it was forced. "Don't you ever do what you did again, next time you will be walking away with one leg" Nightmare then got up from his throne and merged into the shadows, his presence gone and the air seeming to breath a little more. Killer's bet was it overwhelmed the very king of darkness and was off to settle down those jumbled and sudden stirred emotions. Killer couldn't blame him, he knew what his story was and what he had to go through to be how he is, everyone does the same thing, close off their minds and heart and not letting anyone in.
