In the quiet of her hospital room the TV broad cast Tony's voice, He looked straight into the camera. "The truth is..." he paused. "I am Ironman." Lizzie looked at the two agents and shut the television off. "Told ya," she shrugged at them. "Now when are you breaking me out of here and when do I get my dog back from her vacation at your farm Feathers?"

Clint rolled his eyes and shook his head. "I think you should stay here until you are released by the doctors. Besides I think we may have bigger problems Kitten." Natasha frowned and looked from Lizzie to Clint. "We need to contact Fury." She patted Lizzie's legs as she stood from the end of the bed. "Stark just caused a whole new set of problems."

Lizzie scoffed. She lifted her hand and pointed towards the television. "Oh Nat, Hunny, Tony has never been a team player." She ran her hand through her hair and grimaced when she hit the spot her head had made contact with the windshield of the S.H.I.E.L.D. SUV yesterday. "If Fury would listen to me, these things wouldn't keep biting you all in the ass like they have been."

Lizzie felt Clint shake his head minutely. "Kitten, you have never explained how you know these things." She turned her head to look up at Clint. He was still sitting next to her on the bed with his arm slung around her shoulders. "Do you think you could explain it to us? Before something else blindsides us."

Clint watched as his friend, because that was what she had become, frowned at him. This little spitfire of a woman had information he knew they needed, but she had also become one of the people he genuinely cared for. His wife Laura and their kids all loved Lizzie too. Eight plus years ago Fury had sent him to investigate her and, in the process, they had become as close as family. She felt like a little sister to him and Laura. He had even taught her how to protect herself.

She rubbed at her temple and forehead. She was still covered in cuts and bruises from what Stane had done to her. Not to mention the concussion from being thrown into the windshield of a S.H.I.E.L.D SUV from an explosion. "I don't know which things to tell you right now. Let alone explain how I know them, and if I did Clint, I don't think you would believe me anyway. Besides I don't need my name showing up in some S.H.I.E.L.D. report so that a bullseye can be put on my back. I have enough trouble as it is trying to keep my head on my shoulders." Clint looked over at Natasha startled, she never called him Clint.

Nat pulled a chair towards the bed and sat down. She took one of Lizzies hands in her own. "Well, hunny, if you could explain it to us, maybe we could get Fury to stop stonewalling you when you asked him for help. Plus, I for one would try to believe you because you have always believed in me. Even before we met." Lizzie gave a small shake of her head, "I don't even know where to start to explain it. It sounds crazy."

Nat gave her a genuine smile, "Well, try starting at the beginning." Clint dropped his arm from Lizzies shoulders and took her other hand in his. "We promise to listen and not to judge you, Kitten. Don't think I haven't noticed how you don't open up to too many people, but you have never judged me." He watched Nat lean closer, "or me," she added.

Lizzie appreciated what they were saying, but she also wasn't stupid. They were agents and if she couldn't talk to them as friends and not agents, she could end up killed for her knowledge. She took a deep breath and removed her hands from theirs. "What I'm going to say may upset you two. Please understand that is not my intention. So let me get this all out, ok?"
