Chapter 23, End of Cross? // New Days

As we arrived where Cross was, they weren't there anymore. Me and Vix looked around carefully and right in front of me was Cross.

They look pretty frustrated with me
"I've been waiting, you know?" Cross pulled me closer towards them and pointed the gun at Vix. "I don't want anyone else to interfere, just me and Mercury." Cross smiled. I think they are back to their usual self now.

"Vix..just listen to them." I told Vix and they nodded snd stepped back. "Good luck.." I hear them say.

I swung my knife towards Cross's head, they jumped back and pulled the trigger on their gun. I dodged but it left a scar on my arm. It hurt, but I'm not backing down, and I'm not letting something that hurt me in the past take me down.

I attempted to slash Cross again but they jumped away. I grabbed their leg and pulled them down. "YOU BITCH!" Cross screamed out, they pointed their gun at me but I slapped it out of their hand.

But they almost shot me when they pulled the trigger
My ear was ringing due to the loud sound. Cross throws me off, Vix helps me up.

"What did I say? I didn't want anyone to interfere right?" Cross pointed the gun at Vix then at me. "Let me go..I'll be okay.." I told them, they were starting to get worried and stepped back. "Again, I wish you luck.." They gave me my knife that I dropped. "Yeah, thank you." I grabbed the knife and Cross put their gun down.

"Since the gun isn't working the best, guess I'll have to rely on my powers." Cross drops their gun somewhere and a red aura surrounds them. It was different from before the fights we had. A red barrier surrounds the area. Vix was left out. "Now! No one has to interfere!! JUST ME AND YOU MERCURY!!" Cross's Other arms reach towards me, I dodged them quickly but one of them grabs me and throws me.

I fall to the ground and felt my finger burn
I forgot the barriers that they set burn you.

I quickly pulled my finger away as I stood up to see Cross behind me. I swung my knife towards them but missed. I quickly dashed towards them and conflicted a scar on their Other arm, blood sprays everywhere.

"YOU BASTARD..!" Cross summons sharp shards and points it towards me. I started running as they fired all of it towards me. I fall as it ended,

I get up and saw Cross just staring at me with wide eyes
I hesitated to move my eyes away from them, Cross grabs my arm and burned it outside the barrier, I screamed in pain and agony. They pushed me forward the barrier, I pulled myself back and threw them out the barrier.

I heard them scream horribly when they were burned, I chuckled a little, the barrier goes away. I hesitantly grabbed the gun they threw. "MERCURY!! DON'T YOU FUCKING DARE!!" Cross cried out. I pulled the trigger anyways and shot their Other arm. I dropped the gun and started laughing. "FINALLY!!" I said in relief. "I finally got you back..with something I do not enjoy.." I grinned. "HOW DOES IT FEEL?" I chuckled.

Cross got up, and limped. "Quite painful..but I'm not letting that stop me." They summoned a shard, I ready myself to start avoiding it.

It was quick...
the shard was in my arm already, "Decided to do it to you too.." Cross said. I took out the shard, and threw it at them. "Missed." They smirked.

Blood pours down my arm, "I'm not giving up yet.." I grabbed the gun. I felt like fainting, but not today.

I need to kill them.

I pointed the gun towards them, but my vision was getting blurry. As I blinked, they got closer and grabbed the gun away from me.

They pointed the gun at my head, "Do it, I dare you."
