In the background, a doctor said, "George Lore?" George rose up and came up to the doctor. As he and the doctor shook hands, George said,

"Yeah, hi- I'm George Lore."

"Nice to meet you Mr Lore, I'm Puffy wastaken."

Wastaken? George paused for a moment. George forced the thought out of his head and entered the room with Puffy. Puffy and George sat down, and Puffy sighed, "I'm afraid I have bad news," Puffy stated, and George became concerned.

"Let's just get this over with," George muttered, anxiously awaiting what Puffy would say next.

"I'm afraid you only have five months to live," Puffy remarked, massaging her temples as she set her papers on her desk. You could tell she dreaded telling George that.

George's heart dropped to his stomach; only a few days before, he had been fine. George stroked his cheek and chuckled uneasily. "Are you sure?- I mean, this may be wrong and-" George was cut off.

"George, believe me, I double-checked the papers a million times—" Puffy paused, "and it all came back with the same results."

George started to get teary-eyed, how could this happen? How would be able to tell this to his friends? How would he be able to tell his parents this? Everything got so overwhelming, He didn't even notice that he was crying.

"I'm truly sorry Mr. Lore," Puffy replied, rubbing George's back for comfort. George wiped his eyes, attempting to maintain his composure. "I- it's okay," George muttered, taking a long breath and calming down.

He needed to get out of the room since it was so stuffy. "I need some air," George muttered as he exited the room, standing up and walking to the counter, where he put his back on the counter.

When George's phone rang, he nervously answered, "Hello?" George exclaimed, "Hey George! What did the doctor say?" It was Quackity, who was checking in on George.

"I..-" George took a deep breath and tried again "The doctor says I have five months to live" George braced himself for Quackity's response "I.. you're joking- right??" Quackity said

"I wish I was," George responded as he massaged his temples. On the other end of the line, he heard Quackity sigh. "Have you told anyone else?" Quackity asked, his voice breaking as if he was going to cry. "No, you're the first," George stated emphatically.

"Please, George, can you come home?" Quackity asked, and George was silent for a few moments before speaking again. "Sure, sure. Just give me a couple hours alright?" George answered, drumming his fingers against the counter. Quackity asked, "Alright, do you want me to tell Karl?"

"No- I'll tell him when I get home," George said, and Quackity hummed back, "Alright, get home safe," Quackity added before hanging up. George groaned and walked out of the hospital to a nearby 7-11.

He bought a slushee and sat down on a bench near the 7-11, George looked around. He soon got some nostalgic memories when he was in college. He smiled a bit and put his head back as he remembered the days he would go to this 7-11 with Quackity and Karl.

"Come on, George! Stop being such a jerk and just buy me this!" Quackity whined as Karl sipped his drink calmly. George rolled his eyes and responded, "Quackity, I can't even afford a textbook! How do you expect me to pay!" Quackity flipped George off.

"He has a point Q," Karl remarked as he leaned against the wall, "You know Karl, when I decided to date you, I thought that meant you'd take my side," Quackity joked. Karl placed his arm around Quackity and chuckled, "Fine fine, if it makes you feel better- I'll pay," Karl added.
