Dylan glanced at his sister as she ate her food. He had invited Dani to go out to eat which she didn't think was weird because Dylan usually does this.
So there she was just sitting and enjoying her food while Dylan was studying her. He had to admit, he did notice something was off with his sister but he never pushed. Dani would tell him in her own time but he accidentally heard Shelley and Arden talking so he knew all about what happened with Dream.
He cleared his throat and Dani looked at him. She raised her eyebrows at him and he sighed, setting down his fork. "I know." He said. Dani let out a chuckle, "Know about what Dylan?" she asked.
Dylan sent her a look and her chewing stopped. "Oh." "Yeah. Oh." he said. She frowned and looked at her food. He sighed again, "Why didn't you tell me?" she asked.
She sighed, "Because I want to deal this by myself. I adore you Dyl and I'm thankful for everything you have done but this is something I need to do on my own." She explained.
Dylan hummed and nodded, wiped his lips with a napkin, "I won't meddle. I just, I'm worried about you. You don't usually take this long to talk about-"
"Is there something wrong with me?" she cut him off. Dylan frowned as tears started to form in her eyes, he immediately grabbed her hands, "No. Why would you think that?" he asked.
She licked her lips ad shrugged, "Then why did Dream act like I wouldn't be someone he likes. Like I was beyond everything that is his type? What's so wrong-" "Nothing." he cut her off.
His eyebrows furrowed and shook his head, "There must be a reason why he acted that way. From the way we know him, he wouldn't just do that." he reasoned.
"But-" "You will never if he doesn't explain." He cut her off again. Dani gulped and looked down ashamed. "I mean, maybe you should wait for him to reach out or explain-" Dylan cut himself off when he realized she was hiding something.
"Oh come on- Dani. He's been trying to reach hasn't he?' he asked. She gulped and nodded, sliding her phone to him. Dylan looked and sighed, "God, Dani he's been messaging you for days and you've been ghosting-" "Please don't use that word." She said.
Dylan sent her a look and sighed, "Okay I won't but you have to stop running away. You're not Hope, you can't just turn of your emotions." He reminded her. She sighed, "I wish I could. He really hurt me Dyl." She said.
He frowned and shook his head, "I know he did and I would love to hit him to the moon but he's trying see?" he asked as he showed Dani Dream's texts.
Her heart broke at the sight of his messages. She sighed and shook he rhead, "Fuck." She muttered. "Dani.." "I messed up." She said.
Dylan sighed and squeezed her hand making her to look at him, "You can still fix this." "How?"
He smirked at her, "One, we can ask for Sapnap and George's help. Two, there's this thing called Comic Con..."
