I step out and go outside to make the call. I waited put was answered by the answering machine. I'm not going to lie that worried me.

"Casey if you're there please answer it's me Er-"

"Hi" I hear her through the phone.

"Hey I thought you left."

"I thought about it but decided not to" she laughs.

"What?!"

"Chill out I'm just messing with you" She laughs again.

"Oh" I give a nervous laugh.

"How's everything with Aroo"

"It's Andrew" I laugh "and he's fine, lucky that it could have been worst, but he's good."

"That's great."

"Yea. Hey how's Ian?"

"Great. He just fell off his crib."

"WHAT!"

"I'm just kidding" She laughs and I shake my head. "But being serious now he's good we were just crawling around the living room and playing with some of his toys."

I smile. "Thanks and I'm sorry I left you to babysit."

"Don't even worry about it."

"I'll be at home by ten if you can't stay that long I can go pick up Ian."

"No no it's fine I don't live that far anyways. Plus I'm kinda taking advantage of this so that I don't have to go out with my friends tonight."

I laugh. "Using my kid like that isn't nice." I smile to myself and laugh again and she laughs with me.

"Hey if you knew my friends you'd do the same" She laughs.

"I probably would" I say remembering the other night.

None of us say anything for awhile.

"Hey if anything comes up write down my cell number and call me"

"Ok" I give her my number and she writes it down.

"I'll see you later then"

"See you later."

I wait for her to click end. Just as I click end Andrew's family walks in. I walk over to them.

"Hi"

"Hello?" His Mom says.

"I'm Amber's brother we met before."

"Oh that's right the single dad." His Mom says.

"Yea" Nice to know how they refer to me.

"Where's Andrew?" His Dad asks.

"He's sleeping in his room" I lie.

"Oh" They both say.

"Mom, I need to go bathroom" A blonde girl says from behind Andrew's mom.

"Ok Honey hurry up."

"Ok mom" The girl turns and walks towards the restroom.

"So how's Andrew?" His Dad finally asks.
