Comet    ~Scarlett-Ash

I was like ice and fire,i made hard and fast decisions.

I never knew where i was heading, until suddenly, i was there.

I had traveled far and wide, only stopping for a moment,

just to catch a glimpse of the beauty beneath me.

I had seen it all. Everything.

I had seen life begin and end.

I had seen explosions of colour and the blur of white as shooting stars passed by.

I don't remember where i had been born, or where my home really was.

All i knew is that time stretches on forever :

words, smiles and laughter melding together ,as one.

And it was beautiful... all of it.

In the end, i guess, the place to call home is where you feel the most loved, the most accepted.

So every a hundred and forty years or so, i would return home,

where people would laugh and try to capture my beauty.

Children had been born beneath my journey,

Love lost, lives withered and died.

I was just a ball of snow and ice, a blaze of ice blue.

I had one path, and i roamed space for the rest of time.

I was a comet, an image of beauty, a nameless wonder.

But every a hundred and forty years i would return home and belong.

I'd be admired and praised.

I was unique.

I was infinite...

...I was free....
