I was walking in the airport of Detroit, dragging my suitcase behind me. There had been problems with flights so instead of getting straight from LA to my home in Baltimore, I've had to make a stop in Detroit and I'll have to stay at least one night there before I can continue my trip.

Suddenly I heard someone screaming my name from behind me. I turned around and saw a young girl I don't remember seeing before.

"Hey... How can I help you?" I asked the girl awkwardly.

"I'm a big fan of yours and I was thinking... Uh... If I could get your autograph?" the girl asked. I smiled at her but in my head I was just wishing she wouldn't draw more attention to us. I just wanted to get out of the airport as soon as possible.

"Yeah, sure", I answered. The girl smiled widely at me and took some sketchbook and pen from her bag and handed them to me.

I took an empty page from the sketchbook and went by a table nearby to write the autograph. As I was hunched over the table writing the autograph, I heard a clicking sound. I straightened myself up and turned to give the sketchbook to the girl, just to notice that she had cut a small tangle of hair from my head. She tried to hide the tangle of hair from me, but I noticed it anyway. However, I didn't want to be mean and yell at the fan so I just pretended I didn't notice and gave the sketchbook and pen back to her.

"Thank you", she said and smiled at me before she started walking away. I sighed in relief. Luckily she didn't ask for a picture. It would've drawn more attention to me and also I probably looked like shit.

Rest of the walk from the airport terminal to the taxi pole I walked with my hood on and watched mainly to the ground as I walked.

Finally I arrived at the taxi pole and luckily there were plenty of taxis waiting for customers. I sat into the backseat of the first one. I didn't have a hotel room booked since the need of one came a bit suddenly, but I had a hotel in mind where I'd love to stay. I was just about to say the name of the hotel as the other backseat door flew open and someone came in.

"Oh, sorry. I thought this was free", a guy said as he looked at me. At the same time I turned my head and my mouth snapped open as I saw Frank Iero. His mouth was also open.

"Alex?" he asked even though he obviously recognised me. We had met before at a festival a couple years ago. I nodded.

"Where are you heading?" Frank asked.

"I'd like to know that as well", the driver said from the front.

"I was thinking of hotel Shinola", I answered.

"I'm in need of a hotel too so do you mind sharing this taxi to get there?" Frank said.

"Of course we can share the taxi", I answered and smiled at him.

"So, hotel Shinola it is?" the driver double checked.

"Yeah", I answered. The driver nodded and started driving towards the hotel.

"So, what are you doing here anyway?" Frank asked.

"I was flying from LA to Baltimore but there was some problem with flights so it had to land here", I answered. Frank nodded.

"Yeah, same here, but with New Jersey as the destination", he said.

"Did you get stopped by a fan too?" I asked.

"Yeah, two girls wanted to have a picture and autograph, but luckily that was it", Frank answered with a frustrated sigh. I nodded.

"I had one of the weirdest encounters with a fan", I said, still confused about what happened.
