"Last time on Total Drama Revenge of the Island, fourteen new competitors were blown away by this year's challenges. They were treated to an early morning swim, said hello to the island wildlife, and did some totem surfing. Explosive!" Chris chuckled devilishly. "In the end, Staci's team got so sick of her nonstop tall tales that they sent her packing hurl of shame style! Who'll go home next? And how much pain can I put them through first? Find out right now on Total Drama Revenge of the Island!"

Della laid on the top bunk of the bed she shared with Dakota staring up at the cabin roof tiredly. She woke up before the sun rose, eager to start the day and get to their next challenge and wasn't able to fall back asleep.

Especially not with Dawn hanging upside down from the bunk across the room chatting away to a blue jay that had flown in through the window even earlier in the morning.

"Really?" The nature girl gasped after the bird let out a stream of annoying chirps. "Oh no!"

"Will you keep it down!?" Dakota moaned from the bunk below Della. "If I don't get my beauty sleep, I'll lose it."

"Yes, because your need for fame is really just a depressed cry for love." Dawn said, pity seeping through her words.

"Oof, damn." Della muttered. Her eyes still on the ceiling as she half listened in.

Dakota gasped in horror. "Who told you that? My therapist!?"

"I see people's auras," The blonde explained before squinting at Dakota. "And it looks like someone threw up on yours."

"Oh, go eat a worm!" The wannabe celebrity groaned and smushed her pillow over her face to block out the girl's stinging words.

The blue jay perched on Dawn's finger gagged until it regurgitated a long pink worm and held it in its beak, offering it to her.

"Ah- no thanks." She recoiled slightly.

Tired of all its incessant chirping, Della sat up in her bunk and glared over at Dawn. "Alright, shut that bird up before I shove it down your throat."

"How violent!" She gasped before giving her a patient smile. "But it's alright, Della. I know you don't mean it. Deep down, you're just a big softie who craves the friendship and approval you never received as a child."

The brunette chucked a pillow at aura whisperer hitting her square in the face. She lost her balance hanging from the bunk's railing and fell off the edge and onto the hardwood floor with a loud thud. Della smirked at her small victory and turned over in her bed for a few more minutes of sleep.

An hour later, she awoke again. Dakota was out of bed rummaging through her luggage for her makeup bag while Dawn sat beside the cabin window to feed the mutant squirrels.

Dragging herself out from under her warm blanket, Della hopped down from the bunk and stretched her arms over her head. Dakota waved her good morning and she lazily waved back with a yawn before leaving the cabin.

After showering and changing out of her pajamas and into her daywear, she decided to go for a walk around the campgrounds.

The scenery was alright despite the scattered patches of wilted plants that were surviving purely off of the radioactive chemicals seeped into the soil, and the warm summer sun felt nice against her skin as she walked. She'd never been one for nature walks, but this was actually pretty nice.

Della let out a content sigh just as she heard a noise sound from the shrubs nearby. She stopped in her tracks and turned to the rustling with wide eyes. Her stomach dropped. It wasn't uncommon for a contestant to be ambushed by camp Wawanakwa's wildlife and with the mutations from the radiation now to worry about the brunette suddenly felt very stupid for going on a walk on her own and unarmed.
