Hall stared as his mug was shattered on the floor
"Luke...." Hall started.
Luke was still holding the mugs handle. His hand was bleeding. The eye that used to be staring was nothing but puss now.
"Its...."
"Hall... God..... I'm sorry. I don't know....."
"it's okay."
Hall was visibly distraught.
He went over and climbed into bed. Luke stared and dropped the handle onto the floor. It cracked in two.
The next morning Hall woke up and awoke Luke who yawned as they made there way out of the house.
Timothy was waiting on them.
"Hall, I've been thinking..." Timothy said.
"Shoot." Hall said.
"You have to kill Lenard, Hall."
"That's fine with me." Hall said, it turned into a whisper on it's way out.
Luke looked at the floor, not agreeing with it.
"Lenard's going to show up at a speech later today, someone inside town hall that works with Sorelli convinced him to."
"Jesus..." Hall said.
He threw up.
"Hall. I'll take the fall. Timothy said.
"No!" "I'll do it."
As they made there way to the site of the assassination that would take place - In front of Town hall. Hall felt his insides churn as he wanted to back out. He knew if he didn't do this Luke would surely die. Because deep down, Hall saw Luke as his son, truly. He felt the need to protect him or he would die trying. Securing Luke's safety is all that mattered to him right now.
"Do we know when the lights will go off?" Hall asked.
"From my calculations earlier before I got to your house, we have three hours." Timothy answered.
Luke stayed silent as usual. He felt like his opinion held no weight to the conversation. They reached the site.
A stand with a megaphone taped to it was stationed for all to see, of course Lenard wasn't due to show up for an hour or two. They were the only ones there aside from a few others. Guards were staring at Timothy.
"Hall, I know this is a bad time..." Luke whispered.
"What?" Hall asked.
"Since we have some time, I mean." Luke said.
"Tell me."
"Peter actually ended up dying the other day." Luke said.
"Jesus...how?"
"He was shot in the head with a shotgun."
"Well....he had it coming I guess."
"Yeah....I guess."
A couple minutes past as people past and gathered with it, waiting for Lenard's arrival.
"You ever think about Brandy, Hall?"
"Why wouldn't I"?
"Sorry, sometimes it seems we watch so many people die we forget the humility of things."
"I hear you."
"Do you actually think any of us are going to make it out of this alive?, realistically I mean."
"No. This job is to risky, someone's going to die if not all of us." Hall said.
A man appears and begins to walk on stage. He adjust the megaphone. It's Lenard. He checks the megaphone.
"Ah-hem mic check, mic check."
"Okay! Hello, good evening everyone! You guys know me, I hope!" He smiles and gives a chuckle.
"I'm here to address the concerns of the monster we all saw the other day known as a Mesal, scary stuff! I know!" He gave another chuckle.
"Just know that no one should worry! I repeat no one should worry!"
Timothy tapped Hall's shoulder.
"Hall, do it." Timothy gestured.
Lenard continued, "As you all know I believe in humility! People of my great nation. I'm going to be honest with you."
Lenard begins tearing up.
"Oh my, I'm sorry..." He sniffs and wipes his face."I'm- I'm afraid that we've reached the end of our time." He covers his face and begins to walk off stage. The crowd begins murmuring all around.
"I haven't been the most honest." He chuckles while tears stream down his face.
"I don't know how much longer we have...."
"Um..."
He looks around the room at the groups of people while covering his eyes almost. As this happens a new eye appears behind Lenard staring at him. "Oh god!" He backs away.suddenly the lights cut out.
A shot is fired.
A body drops.
People scream. The lights flicker as the power begins to go out.
"We need to go now!" Timothy screams as the flickering light reveals he shot the gun. Over the screaming and panic it was impossible to hear anything.
They begin to run but Hall gets knocked over by a person running. Timothy keeps running for the storage room but Luke turns around and grabs Hall and pulls him up. The screaming continues and Luke looks as snow falls onto the marble floor as he sees a silhouette of a monster attacking someone. They got in.
"Hall! Faster!" Luke shouted desperately pulling Hall. They had to slow down as the screaming continued.
"Luke! Leave me!"
"What?!"
"I can't keep going! Not like this!"
"Nononononono!"
Luke grabs and wraps his arm around Hall as they walk to the door to the roof.
They open the door and Timothy is waiting for them.
"Hall's injured." Luke said.
"I broke my leg!" Hall said in agonizing pain.
"I'm sorry Hall but we have to keep moving!"
Timothy moved onto the ladder and began climbing as snow came down and hit his face. Luke hears behind them the roof fall out and the screaming only get louder.
Luke helped Hall onto the ladder and they made there way up to the roof. Timothy was the first up and Sorelli's crew could be seen from the roof.
"Sorelli!" Timothy shouted at the top of his lungs. The wind was to strong to be heard. The snow was overbearing on Timothy's body as he helped Hall up and then Luke. They looked over the parking lot. Sorelli's crew still trying to find the right car. Timothy ran to one end of the roof and revealed a ladder that went down the side of the roof. Timothy made his way down and Hall was helped by Luke. Timothy ran off to Sorelli through the snow while Luke was still helping Hall. Timothy ran up to Sorelli.
"Sorelli, I'm here. It's done, I killed Lenard."
"Oh my god you actually made it." Sorelli said in pure astonishment. Luke and Hall shortly made there way to them as well.
"Who are they?"
"They helped me kill Lenard." Timothy said.
"Well there's not enough room."
"What?" Timothy said surprised.
"I said I'm not taking two random strangers with me!"
"I thought you said you would tell her where working together!" Luke shouted.
"I didn't! It's all my fault!""I found the car!" An underling shouted.
"Well, Timothy. This is your last call. Make your choice." Sorelli asks.
"I don't really have one do I?"
Timothy looked back at Hall and Luke.
"I'm sorry." Timothy mouthed.
Hall pulled out a gun and aimed it at Sorelli.
"Please. Just take him." Hall said as he pointed at Luke.
"Your threatening me to let yourself die?"
"Will you?" Hall asks.
A monster appeared behind them.
"Sorelli!" Timothy screamed.
The Mesal jumped at Sorelli and before she could fight back had her jaw was disconnected. The others screamed and ran behind a car. Timothy pulled out his gun and prepared to shoot. Hall grabbed his arm and pulled it down. There noses were pink at this rate. The underlings began firing at the monster. It turned around and started walking towards them. They were beginning to run into the distant fog as the monster followed behind. Hall limped over to the car with Timothy and the underlings still had the keys. Timothy began filling the tank up. Luke ran next to the car and sat by the hood. One of the henchmen of Sorelli ran and tripped and struggled with monster for only a second before death. Timothy shot the monster in the head. He ran over and grabbed the keys off the henchman. The monster grabbed Timothy's leg
"Good god no!" Timothy screamed as his skull was crushed and his blood covered the snow.
Hall backed away in shock. Luke's breathing got heavier. Hall pulled out his gun and shot the monster in the head several times. It dropped again. Hall ran and grabbed the keys and had enough time to get back stepping over Timothy's body.
"Luke! This is gas pedal to go! this is the brake, move this P stands for park, R is reverse-
"Your coming with me though!""Why!?"
"I need to distract it." The monster stands up.
Hall sticks the keys into the car and starts it. He closes the tank.
"Go!"
Luke breathed heavily as he worked the car.
"Oh fuck this!" Hall screamed as he jumped into the back of the car.
The monster jumped onto the top of the car and slammed the roof of it before braking the window they were both in. They scream as Luke hits the pedal. It throws itself against a tree and goes limp. Luke serves onto the highway securing there safety.
Breathing heavily and holding eachother the ride into the fog was amazing.
What there future held however was to be seen.Authors note haha: I'm fuckind done bruh part 2 might be out in like 6 months. It took me 4 to write this so might be less we'll see lol.
