Chapter 8

Ever since that, Michael had been trying so hard to find someone who would burn it.

It's been more than week and he hasn't found out who did it, until today.

[ Snowchester ]

Knocks were on the door, "come in." Michael answered.

Shroud walked over to Michael's desk.

"What'cha doin?" Shroud asked as he leans to the wall, "you know about Canon Castle's destruction?" Michael asked back, Shroud chuckled, "oh, that." He said.

Michael stood up, "what's so funny?" He asked, sounding annoyed, "oh, it's just that you spent weeks trying to find who did it." Shroud shrugged, "and yet, I know who it is." He added, Michael looked at him, "who is it." He asked without hesitation, Shroud looked at the window, "y'know Tommy's brother?" He said.

Michael was stunned, "Asher?!" He asked while he walks to Shroud, "well, what do you think?" Shroud asked calmly, Michael looked at Shroud.

"Meet me tomorrow evening." Michael said with a stiff tone. Shroud chuckled.

A day passed.

Shroud and Michael had a talk about Asher, then Michael talked about it to Yogurt, Michelle, and Rosie.

"Exiling Asher?! Michael you're crazy!" Michelle complained, Yogurt nodded, "what is the exact reason you're planning on exiling Asher?" Rosie added, crossing her arms.

"Me and Shroud talked yesterday about Canon Castle's destruction, and Shroud said it's possible that it's Asher." Michael answered, "okay and you're just going to believe what he says?!" Yogurt replied.

Michael opened a chest, taking an empty shattered burnt potion bottle, "this was his proof." Michael said, "the smell from the glass is something unusual used for a potion, like a nether star." He added.

Yogurt shrieked, "wait, last week I found Foolish Jr and Finley looking really tired, like after fighting a Wither-" he said, "then I recommend you asking them some things." Michael replied.

"Michael, how do you have proof that Asher used a potion to destroy Canon Castle?" Rosie asked with a concerned face, "he's a scientist. He could have made these explosive potions with unusual materials." Michael answered.

"I- I have to go ask Finley and Foolish Jr some questions." Yogurt said with a worried face, then ran away, "Michelle, don't tell me you're also convinced-" Rosie asked, Michelle didn't answer.

Rosie and Michelle left the place, then Michael found Shroud and Asher.

Michael called them both.

"Asher, Shroud." Shroud and Asher's conversation were interrupted, as Michael called them.

"I- is there anything you need Michael..?" Asher stuttered, he seems to be nervous.

"Don't act all innocent Asher." Michael cuts him out, "we all know you're the one who destroyed Canon Castle." He added, Asher seems surprised, Shroud smiled, "so?" Shroud asked with a smug, Michael sighed, "Shroud?" He asked, Shroud smiled,

"Please get Asher out of my country." Michael said with no hesitation.

Asher was stunned.

He looked at Shroud, the person he thought he could trust, smiling back at him.

Shroud taps Asher's shoulder and started walking away.

Asher held his fists, looked at Michael, then followed Shroud.

"I'm sorry, it's for the best." Michael mumbled to himself, with a slight guilt in his face.
