Y/n's POV:
Most of the people at school, know me as Diggie's little sister or something like that. But there's more to my life than that. Diggie is my brother but he's an Athlete, a jock or to break it down: he was popular. I was basically the complete opposite. Nerdy, smart, socially awkward, anxiety-filled and insecure, that's who I am. Y/n Smalls.
This kinda changed when I became friends with the Rooney's but I'm still the definition of an anxiety-filled, awkward, nerd.
After yesterday, we tried to not do anything that flared my anxiety. So I thought of the fact that my older brother was asking one of my closest friends to the Valentine's Dance. Diggie asked me for advice because I knew a lot about Maddie. We got Parker on board with our plan and told him to meet up with us. We were meeting up with him in an hour at the park to tell him everything.
Parker's POV:
Y/n and Diggie told me they had a plan for Diggie to ask Maddie to the Valentine's Dance. Diggie called me on y/n's phone and started speaking:
"Hey Parker, what you up to?"
"Uhh, hey Diggie, I'm not doing anything, why?" I asked.
"I made a plan to ask Maddie to the Valentine's Dance. Can you meet us at the park and help?" He asked almost begging for me to help him.
"Yeah, sure. But who's us?" I questioned wondering who else was gonna be there.
"Oh just me, you and y/n." Diggie said.
"K sure, I'll meet you guys there in an hour."
"Bye Parks," I heard y/n say, "See you in an hour." Diggie hung up and I went to get ready.
I guess I need to go and get ready to meet up with y/n and Diggie. Walking down stairs I heard Maddie shout, "Parker, me and Liv need to talk to you." I sighed and walked back up and into their room.
"Hey, what's up?" I asked as I sat on their chair.
Maddie's POV:
Parker walked in and sat down while asking, "Hey, what's up?"
Liv slightly giggled and clapped while announcing, "Soo~ due to what happened yesterday we didn't get to talk to you about your girl problems."
She stopped and I continued, "So we can talk now if you want."
He rolled his eyes knowing that ye didn't really have a choice, "Fine," he mumbled. Liv cheerfully said, "So since both you and y/n don't have dates you could go together."
I continued, "Yeah, we all think you should go with her." He looked at us confused, "What do you mean 'we all'? There's only two of you."
Liv's POV:
He looked at us confused, "What do you mean 'we all'? There's only two of you." Poor, innocent Parker. We pointed towards the door where:
Joey, Mom, Dad, Reggie, Dump Truck and Evan were standing.
"You all seriously think me and y/n should go together?" Parker asked.
"Look, Gumball Machine, " Dump Truck said as he walked in with the others, "you and that y/n girl are adorable together. And me, I'm not one for calling things cute and adorable. But here we are now." Parker smiled, "Thanks Dump Truck."
With that Joey said, "Yeah, you guys are so cute I still remember when you were 7 and were cuddled up on the sofa watching Finding Nemo with her." Then Mom started, "You two are always together so, why not go to a dance together as well?"
Dad continued, "I agree. You two are inseparable." Reggie nodded, "Yeah Dr. P, you're always with her."
Finally, Evan continued, "Parker, you never stop talking about her. It's kinda annoying sometimes." Parker nervously laughed and rubbed the back of his neck.
Y/n's POV:
"Y/n can you call Parker? We need to make sure he's ready." Diggie asked. I picked up my phone and called him.
The phone rung several times and he finally answered.
Y/n: Hey Parks, you ready?
Parker: Hey y/n. Uhh, yeah. I'll be there in 5 minutes.
Y/n: Ok. I'll see you then, Adios~
Parker: See you. *laughs slightly*
I hung up and told Diggie. Then we got on our way to meet with Parker.
Parker's POV:
"Oooh Gumball Machine, you got yourself a date with y/n." DumpTruck said, making me laugh.
"It's not a date, we're just going to the park. Me, her and Diggie, are all going to talk about his plan to ask-" Oh god I said to much.
"Diggie is getting your help about asking someone something?" Maddie asked getting worried.
"To ask his dad for a dog, " I said hoping they'd believe me. Luckily, they did. It made sense he was asking me for help because I have always wanted a dog as well.
Maddie sighed and calmed herself, "Ohh yeah, I thought that. Um I definitely didn't think he was asking some other girl to the Valentine's Dance. Hehehe..." I laughed and said, "Well, I should get going. Don't wanna keep the Smalls waiting." Then I ran out their room, jumped down the stairs and shouted, "BYEEE!" Before running out the door.
Withing 5 minutes, I got to the park and saw y/n on a swing whilst Diggie was pacing around nervously. "Hey n/n, hey Digs." I greeted and started pushing y/n on the swing. She didn't realise I was starting to push her and she almost fell off.
"Ahhh!" She screamed before I caught her stopping her from falling. I laughed and continued pushing her on the swing. Diggie walked over and got a big piece of paper out of his bag.
"Ok Rooney Jr, here's the plan," he announced unfolding the paper.
On the paper it said:
Plan to ask Maddie to the dance:
Step 1: Tell her I found a date.
Step 2: Get into a FAKE argument with her about something stupid.
Step 3: Get Liv to beg Maddie to go with her and Holden, so that she can do something fun.
Step 4: As Maddie enters the dance I give her the necklace I got her and ask her if she'll go to the dance with me. Also tell her that I never actually had a date with some other girl.
Step 5: Ask her to be my girlfriend.
Wow! This dude really had the ideas! But then I realised that Liv walked in jumping around and sang, "Hey Parker and y/n! Can you guess who came up with this Amaaaazing plan?" "Hmmm, let me guess... Could it have possibly been Liv Rooney!?!" I asked sarcastically. "It's a great idea though." Then the plan was set into place...
Y/n's POV:
"Diggie can I stop over at your house tonight and we can work out when to do this all and what to do if something goes wrong?" Parker asked, even though we all knew that he just wanted to sleep over so we could hang out that night.
"Sure Rooney Jr, " Diggie allowed me as he playfully hit his back.
"Bye Y/n, Bye Diggie!" Liv sang as she grabbed Parker, "Be good at y/n's house. I'll see you tomorrow, bye."
"Bye Liv." We all said and with that she left.
3rd person POV:
The three got in the car and went to the Smalls' house.
