Parker's POV:
Liv, Maddie, Diggie and I all stood nervously in the room. The Doctor told us, "Take a seat and explain exactly what happened." We obeyed and sat down. I tried speaking but I just couldn't get the words out. I was far to nervous, Liv looked at me with sympathy, "I'll explain, "she calmly announced.
"Ok, so my brother (Parker) and y/n were working on a project for science. The theme was something to do with defying gravity. They got to work and she asked for some tools. He gave her them and a few seconds later, he heard a small 'ow'. He caught a glimpse of her arm and she had a deep, wide cut." She explained. The Doctor sighed, "Ok, we will do some scans and tests. Depending on the results, she might have to have surgery. The surgery is very quick. Since you're all here did you have something planned?" He questioned. Maddie and Diggie nodded.
The Doctor looked at me and placed a hand on my shoulder, "Look kid, bad things happen but I'm sure she'll be okay. Your girlfriend will be back to normal in no time." He reassured. I couldn't force a single word out of my mouth, I just nodded. I couldn't even correct him on the part of her being my girlfriend. A few nurses came in and took her to another room. Unwillingly, I didn't try to stop them I just sat, crying to myself.
Doctor's POV:
I needed to make sure she would be okay. That uhm, what's his name? PARKER! Ah, I remembered, anyways. That Parker kid needed her to be okay. I could tell they were close but I couldn't tell if they were friends or more. So I just went out on the limb and called her his girlfriend. He didn't deny it or agree to it, he just nodded. "Doctor Lee!" Nurse Ryan yelled, "We got the results back off her tests!"
I ran over to the Nurse and took the clipboard he was holding out. I sighed in relief and thanked him. Rapidly, I ran back to my office and saw Mr, Mrs and Joey Rooney sat outside. I told them the great news and they soon cheered up. Walking into my office, I announced, "Ok, good news and bad news. What do you want to hear first?"
They looked up at me, curiously and Diggie quickly perked up, "Good news, please." I smiled and quoted the clipboard, "She is going to be perfectly fine. The cut didn't damage any veins. She fainted due to shock and blood lossage." He smiled, standing up and asked, "That's amazing! What's the bad news?" My smile slightly fell as I mumbled, "She is going to have to have a quick surgery. It will take half an hour max. Then, hopefully she will wake up and be okay!"
Maddie's POV:
This news was amazing. All that was going to happen was surgery! The Doctor even reassured us that nothing could go wrong. Parker was still crying but I could've sworn I saw him smile slightly. I was just glad that she would be okay. Diggie and Parker would cheer up again. Liv, Joey, Mom and Dad would stop worrying about her and everyone else.
Liv asked, "When is the surgery?" We all thought it would be in about a half hour or so but to our surprise the Doctor answered, "In about 4 and a half minutes. Now, I need to go and prepare for the surgery. Goodbye Rooneys and Diggie." I sat stunned, she would be better way sooner than we thought.
Liv's POV:
I was quite shocked, I assumed they'd start surgery soon but not in like 4 minutes! Although, I was glad they were starting it now. I couldn't bare to see Parker crying and whispering yo himself and Diggie pacing around, repetitively mumbling words every few seconds. Then, Maddie using basketball references to calm them.
That's it! I had the best idea, I ran out the room and cheerfully yelled, "Stay there! I'll be right back!" While I was passing Mom, Dad and Joey, I announced, "Go sit with the others, I'll be right back." After that, I continued running until I got into the surgery room. I knocked on the door and someone opened it. "Omg, you're Liv Rooneys, I'm such a bi-. I mean, how can I help you ma'am?" The woman asked, correcting herself.
I smiled and in responded, "The girl in there, y/n Smalls, she is my brother's best friend and he is in Doctor Lee's office crying. She is also my twin sister's, boyfriend's sister. I was wondering if you could set up a camera in here and send the live footage to my phone, so I can show them." The woman smiled and nodded. I grabbed my camera out my bag and carefully handed it to her.
With help from Bluetooth, I had live footage sent straight to my phone. I thanked the woman by taking a few pictures with her, then ran back to the office. Cheerfully, I walked in and asked, "Who wants to watch a movie?" They all looked at me with a confused expression. Maddie asked, "So y/n is in surgery and you want to watch a movie, while we are all panicking?" I giggled and sat down in the middle of everyone.
I clicked on the live footage link and showed them all. They were all happy and shocked all at once. Placing the phone down on the table, I squealed at how happy everyone became. Everyone looked at the phone as the surgery began and held onto each other's hands.
Parker's POV:
27 minutes and 53 seconds later, the surgery finished. She was okay. Before anything was said we all ran out the room to the recovery room. Thanks to the Nurse that helped Liv, we knew exactly which room it was. Joey slowly twisted the door knob and we all walked in. We created some sort of line of who she would want to see least to most. It went: Joey, Mom and Dad, the twins, Diggie then finally me.
I peered through the door and saw a bandaged up y/n. I so badly wanted to run in, hug her tightly and never let her go. But I knew I had to stop myself and wait. Joey walked in and she smiled slightly before asking, "Where's Parker?" His jaw dropped as he responded, "Seriously?" Slightly giggling, she answered, "Ok, ok. I'm sorry. I'm glad to see you Joey." He hugged her and sat down.
Then, Mom and Dad walked in and went straight in for a big, tight hug.
"Hey sweetie, are you feeling okay?" Mom asked. She nodded and smiled. The two sat down next to Joey. Next, Liv and Maddie slowly walked in. "Liv, Maddie!" She yelled out in glee. Joey, Mom and Dad frowned and stood up as the three hugged and reminded, "You weren't this happy to see us!" Everyone laughed and sat back down, taking Liv and Maddie with them.
Diggie walked in and calmly said, "Hey, you woke up! You've been sleeping for hours, sis." He sat down and flipped through a magazine. Whilst looking at her shocked, disappointed and appauled face.
"Just kidding, I was so worried." He reassured while standing back up and going in for a tight hug. After, he sat back down and put an arm around Maddie before Dad glared at him.
Last but not least, my turn. Without hesitation, I ran, "YOU'RE OKAY!" I shouted seconds before I jumped on her bed and embraced her tightly. She giggled and replied, "Classic Parker." I laughed along and refused to remove my arms from her. Suddenly, I noticed she realised or remembered something. She smiled and laughed then, she announced, "By the way everyone, I heard and felt everything in the first half an hour of being passed out."
My face turned red and I nervously laughed. Everyone chuckled at the sight of my tomato-red face. She whispered, "It's okay, I would've done the same." I hugged her tighter before realising my arm was pushing against her injured one. Quickly, I let go and held onto her arm. Doctor Lee walked in cheerfully and announced, "Good as new, am I right?" I thanked him and said, "Oh and by the way, she's not my girlfriend. Yet." She laughed, knowing that I was joking. Well, I think I was at least...
