Karkat held his breath as he waited for a response his stomach flipped to it's side as he read the message

"I don't feel the same way, i love jade"

He got a message.

The message that killed the mocking bird

His heart stopped as he clenched into his shirt

Maybe curiosity kills the cat.

His heart was the cat now he was left with a corpse as it's placing stone.

Instead of feeling sorry he decided maybe he should move on or ignore him, doesn't matter to him since it's not like it mattered to him.. or did it?

Neither the less he didn't give a shit what happened next

Through a zoom call he spoke to Nepeta who tried to calm him down and reassure him it's not a big deal even though it kinda was since Dave was his heart

"Did you really like him?" Nepeta asked worried by Karkats throwing and yelling

"Yes i loved him.." Karkat spoke as he  cleared his eyes and snorted "Well i think you should get over him and be with more positive people like me! I'm sure you'll get over him"

"Your right maybe i should move on to someone who will appreciate me" Karkat spoke in a sad gentle voice as he cleared the tears from his cheeks

"Maybe i can help..?" Nepeta blushed "i know it's a very dumb thing but I really like.. you.." Nepeta looked away and put her head down

Karkat took a breath in and out as his mind cleared a bit "Sure Nepeta i will accept your feelings"

Karkat wiped his tears and watched as Nepeta smiled "Thank you for giving me a change Karkat! I will make you the happiest troll in Alternia! We will be purrfect!"

"I'll go to you house and comfort you somehow.. even though we are far.."
Nepeta frowned

"I'll go and live with you!" Nepeta smiled

Karkat blushed "I don't think that's necessary"

"But I want to make you happy!"

Karkat smiled at Nepeta "Fine" he tried to sound mad or bothered but it didn't work, he couldn't help but feel happy at the chance of seeing Nepeta and him hanging out.

"Kisses!" Nepeta said as she left the zoom call

Lonely all over again.
