[Amy's POV]
I stormed into Sloette's office. Two men I didn't recognize lunged at me, but I managed to circle around the both of them and push them backwards. They crashed against the marble wall behind me. Slumping to the floor, I rendered them unconscious and turned to the man with fluorescent hazel eyes sitting in his regal leather chair, staring up at me with a cold, calculating expression on his face.
"Emporer," I snarled. "Would you care to elaborate on why I had to kill Kaitlyn Cedar-Conway and Grant Cedar?"
He snorted, and turned away from me, looking at the wall behind him. He raised his palm up to it, and the wall lit up with a bright, bluish tint. It showed the entire map of Colony X, as well as blue and orange dots moving throughout the intersections; some moving nimbly, some sluggish, some not even moving whatsoever.
"Do you see this?" He raised his bony finger at a box that was flashing red at a rapid rate. Recognizing it as the entrance to the Colony, I nodded once. He lowered his finger.
"They had broken into the premises," he continued.
"I understand that," I continued, still addled. "But why must Grant perish?"
Sloette smirked, holding up his palm again, making the holographic map of Colony X disappear. He turned back to me, and whispered "Unlucky coincidence, I suppose."
I mocked his irritating smirk. "That was certainly not an unlucky coincidence."
He shook his head. "Amelia, if there's one thing you must understand, it is the fact that you can not, under any circumstances, win a war without casualties."
I frowned. "War? We are not at war, Sloette-"
"Do NOT address me by that name!" He roared, standing up abruptly. After a long moment of utter silence, he stated in a more relaxed tone "You must leave, Amelia. Complete your tasks."
I nodded, backing away and turning to leave, doubting my loyalty to this Colony.

[Dean's POV]
"We're breaking in?" I snapped at Traio.
"It's the only chance we've got," Jase chimed in, but I held up a hand in his face to shut him up.
"My response was exactly Jase's, before you so rudely held up your right palm to hush him," Traio didn't miss a beat. I glared at him, and sighed.
"I just want this day to be over," I shook my head. "This is all too friggin' TRON for me."
"What's a TRON?" Jase asked.
"You don't know what TRON is?" I looked over at him, shocked.
"Is that a clothing brand?"
I scoffed. "No. It's a movie."
"A motion picture production," Jase concluded, his tone expressing how proud he felt for figuring that out.
"In the real world, we call it a movie," I snapped.
"Hey, guys, really," Sam interrupted us from across the driveway, holding a still crying Maddie in his arms. "We have to figure out a way to cure Amy."
"OR KILL HER-" Maddie piped up.
"No, we're not going to kill her," Sam whispered to her, stroking her hair. I stared at Kaitlyn's ash-covered, lifeless body. A giant piece of wood was lodged through her neck, as well as her chest. Blood with a bluish tint was spilled everywhere, drenching her shirt and the ground. Oh, what would happen when Lucas found out..
