[Dean's POV]

I stared at the small, leather box sitting on the edge of the beaten up wooden desk. Marriage. Commitment. Marriage. Marriage, marriage, marriage. Funny how a ring could mean so much by just sitting in a box. Hearing the door start to open, I shoved the ring in the desk as quickly as possible and opened up my laptop. Amy walked in with her tea, gave me a weird look, and turned on her phone, squinting at the screen.

"Dean, it's midnight," she rolled her eyes, shaking her head. I laughed at the messy bun sitting on her head swaying back and forth as she shook her head.

"So?" I raised an eyebrow.

"It's too late to be watching "Anime"," she sat down on the bed, scrolling through Tweeter, or whatever it's called.

"I wasn't watching-"

"Don't lie to me, Winchester," Amy wiggled her eyebrows. I scoffed, and turned away.

"Why is there a Golem statue on your desk?" she laughed without looking up from her device.

"Maddie left it there," I answered. "She's a Lord of the Rings nut."

"Gotta love Maddie."

"Yeah."

Silence broke out as we were both occupied with our electronic devices. I decided to look up creative places to propose. What about her favorite place?

Wait.

What even is her favorite place?

Well, I can't ask her because that'd raise suspicion.

"So, how about today's hunt?" her tone was sarcastically cheerful. I frowned to myself as I typed in Creative ways to propose.

"What about it?" I asked in a monotone voice.

"You know what I'm talking about," she stood up. I shut my laptop quickly - too quickly - and stood up in front of my chair.

"No, I don't actually," I frowned.

"What were you looking up?" she tried to stand on her tiptoes to look over my shoulder, but failed miserably, considering her height. "Why are you being so secretive lately?!"

I looked behind me at my laptop and the Golem statue, and turned around, flinching at how close she was suddenly.

"It's nothing."

"It's not nothing," she mocked my tone. "Why won't you tell me?!"

Before I could answer, she cut me off.

"In fact, why is everyone keeping shit from me?! Do I look crippled?!"

"What are you talking about-"

"You know, Dean, I put a lot of trust in you, and this is what I get?" she snapped. "Hell, I deserve a lot of things, but this? This isn't one of those things."

"Why are you getting angry?!" I yelled.

"Because I know you're hiding something from me, and you're REFUSING TO SAY ANYTHING!"

"Some things I just don't want you to know!" I snapped.

"LIKE WHAT?!"

"THAT'S JUST IT! I CAN'T TELL YOU!"

"WHY ARE YOU, OF ALL PEOPLE, KEEPING THINGS FROM ME?!?"

"Amy, calm down-"

"I DON'T WANT TO CALM DOWN! I JUST FOUND OUT THAT THE ONLY PERSON I THOUGHT I COULD TRUST DECIDES TO SHUT ME OUT!"

"I'm not shutting you out-"

"REALLY? BECAUSE IT SEEMS LIKE IT!"

"Amy, seriously, what's wrong?"

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN?!"

"You never get this angry," I backed up one step.

Amy stopped, bit her lip, and clenched her fists, seething with rage. She closed her eyes for a few long seconds, took deep breaths, and opened them again, grabbing her phone off of the bed.

"Well, let me know when you trust me and love me enough to confide in me," she sneered quietly, shoving past me. "I'll be right here; rotting away, wondering why the hell I ever trusted you in the first place."

And with that, she slammed the door.

I groaned loudly, running my fingers through my hair, and collapsed onto the chair. Is this it? Did I just lose the one person I thought I could ever be capable of loving? My eyes stung, threatening to spill tears. I looked over at the Golem statue, sitting on the edge of the desk, and turned it towards me.

"Well, Golem," I sighed, my voice shaking. "You're the expert on rings.."

I pulled out the ring sitting in my desk. My heart dropped, staring at the beautiful Opal diamonds in the formation of an A.

"What do I do with this one?"
