'Alrighty mister, finish your dinner and then it's bath time!' Henry said, feeding our son Josh, who looked like he was wearing more of his dinner than he had eaten.

Josh nodded to his dad emphatically while shovelling the final fistfuls of food into his mouth. Once he'd finished, he showed Henry is empty hands, food still squished in his mouth but no longer in his hands (no longer on the floor either thanks to our four-legged hoover who made sure that no crumb was left behind). Henry scooped up his son and made zooming noises while carrying him up the stairs, Josh with his arms out in front, as if he was Superman.

I loved watching my two favourite guys as I struggled to eat as our second child had overstayed their welcome in my uterus and was continuing to push all my organs up into one big mess, making it very uncomfortable. After several attempts to eat and ages spent moving my food around the plate, I gave up. I cleared the dining table, waddling as best I could to the kitchen to try and clean up the mess.

I could hear the laughter and giggles from the bathroom drift down the stairs, a common sound that made my heart swell, I loved hearing these everyday family noises and with number 2 hopefully arriving very soon, our world will be complete.

I stood at the foot of the stairs, leaning on the railing as I heard Henry come down the stairs carrying Josh, who was wearing his favourite pyjamas - Superman pyjamas of course.

'Time to say goodnight to Mummy.' Henry said as he leaned Josh towards me, who covered my face in sloppy kisses.

'Goodnight my gorgeous little super hero' I said, as I returned the kisses on Josh's gorgeous little rosy cheeks, ending with a raspberry, causing him to giggle as he squirmed in Henry's arms.

I watched as the two of them walked back up the stairs, this time to Josh's room, where Henry tucked him into bed and started reading one of Josh's favourite books - only took a few lines before Josh fell asleep. I had managed to waddle my to the lounge room and make myself comfortable on the couch when Henry came back down stairs.

'How're you feeling?' He asked as he sat next to me, grabbing my legs so he could massage my badly swollen ankles

'Like I want to reach in and pull this child out myself.' I groaned as I rolled my head to look at him. 'I don't know why this one doesn't want to come out, but I wish they would!'

'Maybe it's cos you made such a comfy home for them in there, they don't want to come out.' Henry said as he continued to rub my ankles

'Oh Henry, please tell me you did not just try and quote Ross from Friends then.' I winced as I felt a sharp pain across my lower abdomen

Henry chuckled and flashed one of his gorgeous smiles (it was probably one of those smiles that got me in the position I'm in now!) We both got comfortable on the couch, about to watch some TV when we heard the patter of a child coming down the stairs. Josh had made his way downstairs, one of his favourite teddy bears in one hand and rubbing his eyes with the other.

'What's up buddy?' Henry asked as we looked at each other before looking at Josh, who was standing by the couch.

'Milk' Josh mumbled with the start of a grizzle happening, still rubbing his eyes.

'Did we forget your warm milk bud?' Henry asked, moving my legs off his lap and getting up to deal with Josh. 'C'mon then, let's get you some warm milk'

'Want mummy.' Josh whined

'Okay then, I'll go do it myself then!' Henry said, pretending to be upset while Josh managed to scramble onto the couch and cuddle up to me, resting his head on my belly.

Henry was soon back with Josh's special sippy cup full of warm milk and handed it to him. He happily drank his milk, still cuddled up to me while I stroked his hair. Thankfully it didn't take long for Josh to fall back to sleep. Henry was able to gently scoop him up and take him back up to bed with very little reaction from Josh.

Bedtime soon approached for us, I needed to lie down, not that I could get comfortable in any way thanks to the baby bump I needed to deal with, until I was able to cuddle up to Henry, that was the perfect spot to get to sleep.
