Leilah Sophia Potter was a kind woman, ruthless, but kind. She has never been what you call patient, but she tried. She was forgiving too, but she wasn't dumb enough to trust a person that has committed a crime. And Tom Marvolo Riddle, was a criminal of the worst sort.

A monster.

A person who was feared by everyone. Yes everyone, even she feared him, she wasn't stupid not to. But she didn't fear him because he wanted her dead, no. She feared him because of his power.

Only an idiot would defy the kind of power you don't know about.

So yes, she was kinda of an idiot. But an idiot who won.

Leilah stopped fearing death by the time she was seven - so she wasn't scared of him because he could kill her -. With the environment she grew up in, she welcomed death. Because it meant that her pain would have an ending or that afterlife was real, but you couldn't suffer in the afterlife, so she wasn't scared of it either.

Growing up, she was weak, because  she feared her relatives. They had power over her, so it was only natural.

Thinking back on it, she now realizes that she was a slave, until Hogwarts, that's all she ever knew. Because of Dumbledore. He put her with them maybe he didn't know that they mistreated her or maybe he did, who knows, but she still blames him.

He was her magical guardian, it was his responsibility to make sure she was alright, but he never did.

There's no use in dueling in the past now, she has more prominent issues to attend to. Like the slave she now owns.

Merlin, she owns a slave, a slave named Tom Marvolo Riddle aka Voldemort, nonetheless. How on earth did that happen?

She now was like the Dursleys, she had her very own slave. That she could torment, starve, beat up, burn, or right out kill. Because from what she knows about slavery, you can kill a slave and it's legal, unless that changed, but she honestly didn't think did.

But no. She refused to be like them.

She wouldn't punish him for no reason, she wouldn't starve him. She wouldn't be kind, he didn't deserve it, but she wouldn't be cruel either. She wasn't a cruel person.

The only reason she took Riddle with her, was because she didn't want him to be tortured for the rest of his life, no matter how much he deserved it.

Merlin, she was too soft. Like Voldemort once told her 'Foolish girl, your compassion, your selfishness will get you killed.' Let's hope not. She didn't fancy dying yet.

Merlin save her.

Tom entered the kitchen and saw his mistress listening to music on the radio as she cooked and drank, not noticing his presence.

He walked near her - not close enough to cause her to stumble – and knelt on the floor.

"Where're the utensils?" Leilah opened the third drawer. "Here." She turned around and jumped when saw Riddle on the floor. "You fucking scared me."

"I apologize mistress." Tom spoke quietly, but it was a lie, he couldn't help but be a bit amused by her cursing, he had never heard a woman curse, well, that's also a lie, his mistress always cursed at him during their confrontations. Normally it was as she dodged one of his hexes or the killing curse.

"Liar." Leilah huffed as she started to set up the table. "You can't lie to me, Riddle. I spent my entire sixth year studying your life I know you, the real you. Besides, we have the same ticks when we lie." She smirked.

"Sorry." Riddle muttered, gaze on the floor.
Leilah sighed. "Sit on the chair." She ordered and severed some pasta onto his plate. "Wine or water?" She showed the bottle to Riddle.

"Water, please." Tom replied.

"Sure." Leilah grabbed a glass. "Here you go." She passed the glass once it was filled.

"Thank you, mistress." Riddle put the glass aside, not drinking from it nor eating from the plate in front of him.

Leilah turned around and served some pasta onto her plate, then she re-filled her glass with red wine. "You can eat you know. Just go slow, it's obvious that you've been starved, and if you eat too fast, you'll get sick."

"Thank you, mistress." Tom hesitantly grabbed the fork and twirled it on the plate, occasionally glancing at Leilah, as if she would take the food away at any second.

Leilah sat down and drank from her wine as she observed the man sitting on the other side of her table. Riddle was nervous, scared, she noticed, and she couldn't help but wonder what exactly did the aurors do to him. She would ask later.

Riddle was covered in bruises, cuts, and burns. But he still was very handsome if anything all the marks made him hotter.

'Merlin, he's fucking sexy.' Leilah licked her lips.

She wasn't sure where the sudden attraction came from. Truth be told she has always considered Riddle handsome, but with the cuts on his skin he's gorgeous.

'He would look so fine being marked by me.' Leilah smirked.

"Thank you for the meal, mistress." Her thoughts were interrupted by Riddle's voice.

"No need." She pushed her plate aside, internally scolding herself for seeing the man who ruined her life as attractive.

'I need to get laid and get him a salve to heal those marks on his body.' Leilah mused. "Um, why are you on your knees again?"

"You only gave me permission to sit on the chair for the meal, mistress." Riddle furrowed his brows.

"Huh." She frowned in thought as she vanished the dishes. "Anyways, follow me, we have some rules to discuss, pet." She walked out.

'Pet? That's a new one.' Tom contemplated as he followed his mistress out
