I woke up, stretching across the damp forest floor. I yawned then stood up, ready to get my day started and over with. I heard rustling in the bush too my right, I pricked my wolf ears, trying to hear better. I slowly crept over to the bush that I was hearing the noise come from, I crouched down and pulled away some leaves to revival a group of 3 small bunnies, yum, I licked my sharp teeth, stomach aching from the thought of having fresh food. Even though I just ate before my I laid down to take the nap that I just woke up from, I was only 6 years old, cut me some slack.
I backed up a bit, only so I would be able to get enough speed and force to make my attack, I got down on my hands, feet still firmly placed in the ground, my tail swished back and forth, I tried not to make single sound. My stomach was grumbling now, so loud I was afraid I would scare off my meal. I mustered up all my wolf power I could find. I was prepared to make my attack when, all of a sudden, I heard two voices scream so loud it made my sensitive ears hurt, Badly.
"WOLF!!!!!!" They screamed. Oh crap, I thought, there were two people. There were two guys shouting, they sounded about my age. I turned slightly, ready to attack, I didn't care if they were human, I wasn't, and they made my lunch run away. They were going to pay. I turned around fully and saw them standing there, frozen with fear. Idiots, I thought, they was about to become a side dish for being so stupid. I was about to pounce on them and attack when the one not cowering behind the other said something that made me stop, "H-hey, your not a wolf, your a girl," what was wrong with this guy? Did he not see the ears and tail? I wanted to ask what made him think I was a human, but, sadly, I haven't used my voice in about a year, so, when I opened my mouth, all that came out was a bark.
"C-can't you talk?" I didn't know what else to do, so, I shook my head, signaling that I couldn't speak. "O-oh, why are you here all alone.?" *anime sweat drop* He really was an idiot. Didn't I just tell him I couldn't speak? I heard voices in my head, it was my pack telling me they were coming back to this spot. I would have told him that my pack would be here any moment... If only I could speak, I could warn them. I stood up ran towards them, fear covered their eyes, I pushed them back down the hill, sending them tumbling backwards, just as my pack emerged into the clearing with loud barks and short howls. They last thing I remember about them was their incredibly blue eyes when they turned around as they were running away, stopping in their tracks, I looked at them pleading for them to keep running, they must have seen the distress in my eyes because they reluctantly turned around and kept running.
I sighed in relief, at least they were safe, although, I don't know why I cared. Now, to face my pack. The moment I turned around, my younger brothers and sisters bombarded me with tackles. We played for a long time, tackling each other and pinning each other to the ground. But, all I could think of while we were playing was those two boys, their blue eyes wouldn't get out of my head. I wonder if I'll ever see them again.
My mind wandered all night, I dreamt of the two boys. I don't remember the dream very clearly though, all I remember is that it had something to do with them and blue flames... Oh well, I am sure it wasn't important.
I woke up slowly, yawning and flexing my tail. I was surrounded by the other wolf pups, they were so warm and comfy, I just wanted to fall back asleep. But, my stomach growled loudly and I remembered that I didn't get a lot to eat yesterday. Sighing loudly, I stood up. I went over to a hollow tree that I kept some spare cloths and money in.
I put on some relatively clean capris, tucking my tail in the back. I pulled an other relatively clean article of clothing out, this time is was a graphic tee-shirt I pulled off my dirty one and replaced it with the other shirt. I grabbed my favorite baseball cap, I put that on, making sure my ears weren't viewable. Then I took out the only pair of shoes I had, they were about 1 size too small, maybe I have enough money to get a new pair, or else, I might have to steal a pair. I have to be carful when I go out in public, I may be wanted by the police. This occurred to me just I was about to leave the safety of the forest, so, I changed my hair color to dark brown, and my eye color to icy blue. Don't ask me how I can do it, I don't know either. For as long as I can remember I have been able to do it.
