SEOK HOON DIDN'T ALWAYS HATE HIS DAD. In fact, there was time he looked up to him.

He had always been the golden child. The one who his father was proud of.

His father wanted him to golf, he played. His father wanted him to be a swimmer, so Seok Hoon would swim and win at every competition. He wanted him to perform, and so he did.

No matter what he would always strive, always try to do better. To be perfect like him.

The first time he found out his father wasn't perfect was years ago, when him and Seok Kyung were only ten.

It was almost dinner time, and Seok Hoon walked into their piano room to get something.

He then saw Seok Kyung standing over several shards of glass, with blood trickling down her hands.

He instantly ran over, and when he saw her face, it was nothing like he'd ever seen before.

Her eyes were wide, with pink tear-stained cheeks, and her entire body was shaking in fear.

"W— What happened?"

She started shaking her head, faster and faster with no sound coming out. Finally, in a thick whisper, she said, "Don't tell Dad."

He blinked. "Seok Kyung you're... you're bleeding—"

"Don't tell him. Don't tell him please."

"I... okay. I won't."

As if their father knew something was wrong, not a second later he came striding in, looking bigger than they've ever seen him.

He scanned the scene and said nothing for a long moment as Seok Kyung crept behind her brother in fear.

Seok Hoon stood tall in front of Seok Kyung, wanting to hide her hands as much as possible.

"What's all this?" He asked carefully. "Seok Kyung, what are you doing?"

She didn't answer. She just kept sniveling and hiding behind Seok Hoon.

"Seok Kyung," he called. "Look at me right now."

But she stayed there, her feet planted to the ground.

It was when his father pulled her forward, causing her to yelp in pain, that she stumbled between them.

Her bloody hands were revealed, along with the broken glass around them.

His father looked at her, then at the ground and exhaled a sharp breath. "Did you do this? Huh?"

She was crying hard, unable to look at him.
