(Dreams pov)
Hands grasp at my shoulders and pull my limp body out the drivers side window. They pull my helmet over my sweaty head, clean air fills my lungs deservingly. The cold rain spits at my now bare face, sending shocks through my body, waking itself up.
"You alright dude? I though we lost you Jesus Christ."
Sapnaps voice travels through my ears as my brain is still foggy with dizziness due to the side effects of passing out. I look up to him and sit myself up on the muddy grass, his small stubble now visible in the brighter light.
"Y-yeah I'm alright...I think."
My response is slurred slightly but it goes unnoticed by sapnap as his gaze drifts to a mix of red and orange glow not to far from where I was dragged out of my car.
The blue ford focus is engulfed in flames which spew out of various places. Underneath the car it looks like the gates to hell as the rain fights the growing heat that surrounds the car. Several staff members surround the fire with multiple fire extinguishers, all failing to de rail the situation.
Other cars screech to a stop behind the fire hazard. There are many crashes in this sport but you know it's serous when other people are jumping out their cars, risking their winning places to help.
Winds howl through my beating eardrums, sapnap still crouching by my side leaning lightly on my right shoulder as he continues staring at the situation with stern eyes. The other racers all stopped a few feet behind the fire, all out of their cars doing the only thing they can. Standing and staring. My mind clears and memories of literally 2 minutes ago fill my head. My green gaze flows back to my car, crushed up to shit and in the midst of the flames.
I pinch harshly between my two brows in frustration. Dark blonde locks stick to my already sweaty forehead as my breath finally slows down to a sort of normal pace. I still taste the toxic fumes on my tounge, they reach down my throat and scratch at my flesh on the inside but thankfully retract from my recovering lungs.
I stand up slowly with the help of my friend, Sapnap. I turn his attention towards me as the dizziness clears from my vision."Sapnap. If they don't put that fire out right now it's going to blow!"
My voice comes out just loud enough to be heard over the brewing storm above. My eyes squint in his direction. Sapnap just stands there in-front of me in silence, stuck on what to say. The sky above is a thick shade of blacks and greys as the rain becomes heavier and heavier. The wind brushes past my nose bringing an acrid smell with it. The air feels almost toxic as theory's rush around in my head. Screaming silently at me to do something.
"We can't do anything dream."
He finally reply's dryly. My jaw tightens as well as my fists. I zip up my forest green jump suit to the top, covering as much of my body as possible. I snatch my helmet off the wet ground and fit it tightly around the crown of my head i wait before putting it on properly. Sapnap stares at me in confusion as I do this. I rest my hand at his shoulder reassuringly as the idea of what I'm about to do settles in his mind.
"HES STILL IN THERE SAPNAP!"
My voice comes out aroused by panic as my steps retreat further and further away from him. Sapnap shakes his head disapprovingly as his eyebrows frown at me. Others crowded round the back of him as my tall figure turns towards the destruction i caused.
